Women have had birth control upward of 200 years more advanced than that of men for nearly a century. Usage of birth control prevents pregnancy.

There is no evidence with current technology that allow women shrug off responsibility for their reproduction helps anyone. This cultural meme has never actually prevented a pregnancy or helped a single person.
