So I’m a dude who likes wearing rings. I tend to pick meaningful ones to me, and I wear 1-2 at any time.
I’m shopping for one now but because I’m a dude, Amazon is suggesting male wedding bands.
Specifically, they are pushing silicon wedding rings.
Now, if you’re military or an athlete (two groups they target) this might seem good.
A silicon ring also only costs like $20!
And that’s the rub. Men are expected to take the practical. The reasonable. The cheap.
While women expect $3500 in an engagement ring alone, let alone the band.
What a way to exemplify how disposable and disrespected men are in marriage. You spend $4000 in rings alone (and will be called cheap), while she spends $20 (and is considered “thoughtful”)
If you needed any other proof the game was rigged...
