I had a happy childhood and was raised by my grandparents. But even at that early age, there was a difference in the kind of love they gave.

For my grandfather I was his life, he would put everything on hold for me. Take me places, hug and kiss me, love me with all his might and life and I am proud to say I am his grandchild. Grandmother was more involved in her social circles, neglected me many a times, got angry on me, demanded money each and everytime from my grandfather when we were out. Didn't think much of it then.

Later heard from mom she never even wanted kids but had them to trap my grandfather forever to a life of providing. He being a gentle soul worked as a single earner to sustain the family. My granny hasn't worked a single day of her life yet when my grandfather was in ill health (cancer), she made sure he signed all the legal papers and even took him to a lawyer personally at a time when he was advised not to travel and she made sure he completed all the formalities related to inheritance. It made me lose faith in women completely.

At the time of death I need no parasite leeching my savings and not being bothered about anything else even though I have tirelessly worked my whole fucking life to provide for her. What a tragedy that would be.

The only positive outcome through this pathetic phase was that I got my grandfather and he got me. Children raised by fathers or male role models do so much better than those raised by selfish narcissistic cunts. But the way the society is going I don't see much hope for kids. I hope I am wrong but...
