Good news: I'm marrying the love of my life in December 2018 and on January 2019 she'll be going to 4 years of Physical Therapy school to become a doctor!
Bad news: She's going to be around $200k worth of debt once it's all said and done.
Questions:
- Since we'll be married by then, is the debt going to be under my name too?
- What advice would you give us before she goes to school, while she's in school, and after school?

She is going to make that debt your problem too once you will get married. Pretty sure she wouldn't want to marry you if you hade 200k of debt. Man don't fuck up your life , life is too short.

Its not uncommon for doctors to have 200k in debt.
I know many doctors who earn over 120k per year. Some over 250k per year.

In California school debt is sole and seperate no matter what. Dude doesn't have to worry about this specific thing.
