You’re probably thinking, how on earth can being raised in a cult that promotes pseudo science and fairytales and other primitive beliefs possibly have been some sort of positive benefit? Well you see I was raised Catholic (later Mormon, then non denominational) and I strongly believed in God as a kid, as I entered my teens I started to become more skeptical which wouldn’t be surprising to anybody that knows me well because when I was a little boy I was the only kid I knew that didn’t believe in Santa Claus but I still believed in God, that was until the ages of 14 to 16 when I realised that that there are rational naturalistic explanations for how our existence came to be and then I realised what the Bible really is and how much of it has been romanticised, misinterpreted and retconned over time, and that there isn’t any evidence of the supernatural.
I was very disappointed (borderline heartbroken) when I found out there isn’t a God looking out for me and that religion is mostly bullshit made by empires to control people and that the bullies who made fun of me for being a Christian were right all along but I honestly think that if I wasn’t raised the way I was as a Christian then I probably wouldn’t have been red pilled when it comes to seeing the reality of women’s dark side and the dangers of relationships with women, I think my failed relationship with religion taught me how to prepare for life’s greatest disappointments and that preparation was probably why I was able to take the red pill so easily at a young age because I was used to being lied to for so long which made me able to accept any sort of disappointment without denial so when I found out about women it wasn’t hard for me at all to accept that they will be what they will be, thankfully this all happened before I started dating so I am grateful that I have never been in a relationship because me having the simple challenge of coming to terms with Gods non existence as difficult at it was for me, is really easy when compared to even greater challenge of being betrayed by a bitch who pretended that she likes you only for her to take everything from you.
Personally I think that religion and romantic relationships should be phased out because they are both dogmatic fairy tales that don’t exist in reality, but I honestly think that a ex religious person can handle the red pill about women and relationships much easier than someone who was always an atheist because discovering the truth about religion is the perfect stepping stone to becoming a Man Gone His Own Way, obviously you can’t justify every bad thing that happens but I like to be grateful for every small hardship that spares me a even greater hardship.
