I think it matters what culture they're around as well, what their friends do etc. Like if it's a small village where everyone knows everyone and they're all traditional and stuff without much influence from the media it might work. Otherwise? Most likely not.

Exactly. It MIGHT work. It's possible that in the right circumstances that a woman will be moniganous though the numbers are insignificant to affect the big picture. Every now and then man bites dog, it doesn't change the main narrative

Yeah, but it's not every now and then, it's pretty often. Imagine if a dog was 50% likely to bite you hard and be aggressive for no reason and if you try to punch it to take it off then the police comes and takes you away. How many dog owners would take that risk?
