I'm trying to imagine being in this guy's place. Knowing my wife was dressing up and going out to find a one night stand with a hot guy and the town knowing she is now a whore. Wow. And then feebly trying once in a while to pull a woman somewhere, but it is hard for you and your heart isn't in it. And then going home empty handed feeling betrayed and like a loser. Obviously, this guy needs to divorce ASAP.

The only men that could possibly benefit from this are the type that want this sexual variety and have it on tap because of a combo of looks, money, and status. These are the men that could cheat easily, and monogamy is a hindrance. Not surprisingly, women that are married to that sort of man would not want an open relationship. If you telling your wife "I'm gonna go out and fuck some woman" evokes a smirk and not fear on her part, then an open relationship is going to be all her.

The only way a guy like this could get laid consistently in this scenario is if he and his wife did swinging (which is just using her as bait in order to attract another couple) or if he went to escorts.
