My older sister was abusive growing up. Older siblings are always bullies but she had a hate and jealousy to her that was unique. I think she watched my mom constantly emasculate my dad with her words so learned to disrespect men.

Fast forward to tonight, out at dinner with my cousins. Her daughter slaps her brother in the face so I look to her disapprovingly to show her its bad. I noticed shes been doing this lately to people and my sister says nothing so shes learning its okay to hit people. My sister has always felt entitled to hit people and throw drinks at them or destroy their stuff, so I dont want her daughter to end up the same. I turned to my sister and said “why are you letting her do this you are reminding me of me and you”. I shouldnt have said this in front of the fam but its so blatantly obvious. We bickered and then she left. I turned to the boy and told him to block next time. Just venting...
