Socioeconomically, Emma Watson is the picture of privilege. Her parents were lawyers, she was sent to expensive private schools in Oxford, and had private tutors throughout her lucrative acting career.

She is likely to have never had a serious material need, but the fact that she sees issues through a gendered lens is not surprising at all. It may be the one area of life where she has felt any pressure whatsoever.

At this point, I don't even hold it against people. I know there are plenty of forms of suffering I'm totally blind to. It's just hilarious when you see a living illustration of the tendency as blatant as Emma.

I had a roommate who thought she was the hottest thing ever. Even credited her with his interest on reading and was a huge Harry Potter fan. I swear the HP movies were on all the time. I don't think a day went by when he wouldn't mention her.
