I'm a native English speaker. I don't speak any other languages but I've decide to take action towards changing that. There are three languages I'm interested in: Portuguese, Indonesian, and German. My plan is to study two languages at a time.

I've already chosen Brazilian Portuguese to be my first language so I just need to pick between Indonesian and German.

Note: I chose Portuguese (the harder one) over Spanish because I intend to learn both and it's much easier to pick up Spanish after learning Portuguese than the other way around. Also with Spanish being studied more, it's much rarer to find someone who is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

German

  • Obviously more valuable than Indonesian from a business perspective.
  • German also pays some of the highest rates (even higher than Asian languages like Japanese and Chinese which will A LOT longer to attain a barely decent level of fluency).
  • German is challenging because of the grammar. That doesn't scare me but German might be too much to manage while doing Portuguese at the same time.
  • Cost of living in Germany is much higher.
  • I don't really have an opinion on German women. Though for some odd reason red pill/MGTOW guys keep advising me to avoid Europe. No idea what that's about.

Indonesian

  • The wildcard of the three. 10th Most spoken language globally and the 5th most used language on the internet.
  • The grammar is far simpler than German and even simpler than Portuguese.
  • It's one of the few Asian languages that uses the Latin Alphabet.
  • Indonesia is country with a low cost of living, and it doesn't hurt that the women are easy on the eyes.
  • Indonesia seems like a great country for a red pill guy. It's also in the same region as The Philippines and Thailand. It's always a good idea to get away from the toxicity of the west.
  • Ahem... Indonesian women known for having the curviest butts in Asia. lol
  • Unfortunately Indonesian is not a valuable business language like German or Portuguese.

So which of the two options would you guys pick?

Option 1: Portuguese and Indonesian

Option 2: Portuguese and German
