Almost got a sexual harassment hit. The story: I was on a mine site as a contractor repairing haul trucks in the truck shop. I go to use the bathroom. The same bathroom I've been using there for 3 months. I walk in and there is someone in coveralls, hard hat, face down cleaning the sinks. I walk over to the yernal and start pissing. Mid stream I hear a woman say in a very bitchy tone " you could've asked me to leave" I reply very stupidly realizing it was a woman as I'm peeing (I was in my early 20s) "oh....figured you just wanted to watch" dumb thing to say right. It was a natural reaction to her bitchy tone. Anyways. She storms out. Later asks my lead man for our supervisor. Reports the incident to my company and the mine. I get suspended for 3 days from mine property. It's like wtf woman. You could've put a sign up saying closed for cleaning or walked your ass out without getting lippy with me. Anyways I got lucky. Turns out this wasn't the first time she made sexual harassment claims. There was a pattern with her. She got fired and I was cleared of wrong doing. Anybody else have stories like this in the work place?
