Not because it's good, but because normal people dont have a budget, and think dumb shit = good purchases.

Don't worry too much, i'm nearly 30 and don't have much. Not everyone is going to have lots of extra cash. There's always some people who end up with low paying jobs.

Good thing for me is I don't have any expensive addictions. I drive bike anywhere i can, i make all my own food. My diet is simple, hamburger/chicken, protein powder, spinach, 1-day MV, and other veggies. You can buy those big bag of beans(that take a while to cook) for cheap, lentils, quinoa, barley, oatmeal. Whole wheat pasta, potatoes.

I think most men peak financially between the ages 35-45. Women can earn money by their looks when they are 18-25. After that, they have to find a beta male to take care of their awful spending habits. Men can easily work (part time, full time) into their 70s. Just focus on yourself. Save every penny, use coupons, look for discounts, and most importantly DONT TAKE A GIRL ON A DATE.

25 have been broke since age 0.. never had steady employment.. just a series of unfortunate events.. mostly due to women systematically destroying my reputation one way or another.. or cops destroying my car and claiming I abandoned it when I was sleeping in it.. shit like that... I'm at the point where I'd just rather eat out of garbage cans and be homeless cuz I don't care.. society can burn it doesn't deserve my contribution :) I have never been even remotely financially stable.. hard to come from nothing when people constantly fuck you over ...even food stamps GHOSTS me when I try to apply.. damn shame I'm a white male I guess... (think I'm lying I said I was Hispanic and they automatically sent me a card and a month of rations.. which was soon canceled after my interview.. rofl).. at the same time I could have made decisions that made my life better(going active duty instead of reservist ect) but nothing I can do to change the past

I was broke AF for the first 5 years of my career. Then as soon as it started to take off, I went and got married.

Not broke now per se, but filling in the debt hole after the divorce is a major pain in the ass. The sanity is worth it, though.

I think so. It really depends on what path you want to take in life though.

Some people our age are workaholics and start saving while going to college.

Others take odd jobs and spend money almost as fast as they make it.

Normal yes, but so long as you have discipline and spend less than you make, you can generally be comfy by 25 or 30. Exceptions exist for ultra high CoL cities like NY and LA; best bet there is probably to move.

Here in DFW you can survive and maybe have a tiny savings on min wage if and only if you are disciplined. Lots of people screw up by having kids or catching felonies or dumb shit; avoid that, get a job at $12+ an hour full time, put $200/month or more into an emergency account, and once you get to 3x monthly expenses you have so much more breathing room it's not even funny, so little stress you might as well not be poor. Take the flexibility your savings gets you and get like a welding job, HVAC, plumbing, what have you, or a good 4 year degree (compsci, nursing, eng, top 20 paying or don't bother).

90% of poor people are poor because they made an irredeemable mistake (felony, drug habit) or they continually squander opportunities to the point nobody will waste their good opportunities on them. Don't do that shit, and don't catch cancer or otherwise land in the ER. If you are even halfway competent at turning opportunity into success and can excercise financial discipline, you will mostly be alright.
