I'm almost at my 40s and I have friends my age, who are divorced living with their parents, paying for child support, completley defeated, oh but that's ok because the ones who are still married, are so "happy" bro...I hear all the complaints from them, some cheat because they get zero pussy from their wives...some just stay miserable.

I am the only one of in that group that takes a 6 months sabbatical from work every 4 years for a trip or for some course, something to enrich my existence and have fun with, because I have the money to spend.

I also have a cleaning lady that speckles my house every week, oh and she cooks as well. Then she gets paid and goes home.

I gotta tell you if the next 15-20 years are going to be like this, I'm gonna tragically die with a smile on my face.

Mgtowhq has quite a few older posters. They seem pretty happy. They got their hobbies and enough money to get by. I know some get lonely but they always keep busy.

Well you can be MGTOW, get into your 50 and have a ton of money, other MGTOW friends, ride your motorbike, go out on your boat, take vacations, hire high-end escorts.. OR: get married, have a few good years, she gets bored, leaves and takes half your shit, And you give half your pay check and half your pension for the rest of your life and live in Ford cargo van and eat Mr.Noodles and enjoy your 50s that way?

I'm in my fifties and damn I'm loving my single lifestyle. You think the women at 21,25 or 30 are screwed up just wait. Women in their late thirties and on are some of the most fucked up people you will ever meet.

I'm surrounded by some of the most miserable married men I've ever met. I have a few acquaintances that are extremely happy husbands and fathers. You did notice my use of the word "FEW". Most married men will not admit that they are miserable due to the fact they're scared to death it would get back to the wife and all hell would break loose in their house.

I meet great women all the time they're either in their early twenties or married. I haven't met a decent single and available woman that was over 30 years of age in the last twenty five years.

firstly, I hope that I will publish books then, as I do now. secondly, there will be many new interesting things which one would be able to see, hear or read in that time: space exploration, urban development, geographical, demographic, political and social changes in the world. this world is simply too interesting for me to ever feel "lonely" or "bored". yes, there are old people in their 60s, 70s or 80s who are bored and who sitting all day on bench in a park doing nothing, but there are also active people who doing many things in their old age. you choose how you will spend your days.

pushing 50 with a short stick, so this might be relevant as an answer. since my divorce a few years back life has never been better. I enjoy spending time alone and rarely get lonely. when I do there's lots of people I share common interests with to go hang out and have fun, sort of recharge the social batteries occasionally. in the meantime I get to do whatever I want with my time and money. pick up any hobby I care to, be the master of my own space and life. it's really the best way to live and I can't believe how shitty my married life was by comparison.

so yes I highly recommend it, you can be alone without being lonely, and when you do feel that way it's easy to alleviate.

Loneliness is an emotion and emotions can be controlled. Develop so interest and find friends with those same interests. Get some cash behind you so you can do what you want. It's not a fight for survival like it was in the 30s or 40s. You have options to create a life that few before us have. I am not sure if gaming is the best way to doing that.

My father is 50 and he's alcoholic, overweight and diabetic, with no real friends. And all this happened to him because he's a honest, hardworking man who worked his ass off to support his family. A few decades working 80+ hour weeks in two or three jobs does that to you.

I don't know how life in my 50s will be but I'm pretty sure I can supersede this baseline as a MGTOW.

Step 1 - finish paying child support

Step 2 - semi-retirement (work 3-4 months in UK p/year as locum)

Step 3 - leave UK and go back home to Poland

Step 4 - enjoy life - read books, maybe write books, play vidya - maybe VR will be good enough then.

Step 5 - take final early retirement at 60 and then just chill (Step 4 again)

Take a look at 50 year olds that are in long term marriages if you want to see loneliness. Condemned to the dirtiest part of the house, the shed or garage. Escaping into tv or golf. I'm 71, have been single for 25 years and while I'm an introvert and enjoy my own company, still any loneliness I feel is a higher quality experience than almost any day of my marriages, where I kept so much of myself compressed to avoid upsetting my wife. I do hope we begin to form more fraternal societies again. Some of the happiest older men I've known were Moose, or Elks.
