I'm a long time member of this sub this is one of the weakest points I see fellow mra's and mgtows latch onto. I just want to speak my opinion on it. Maybe I am framing it wrong in my mind and someone can help me see it from another point of view

Men today taking credit for accomplishments and sacrifice of their grandfather's and great grandfather's is as big of a stretch as modern women claiming the accomplishments and sacrifice of actual feminists from the 1st and 2nd wave.

Saying we as men have sacrificed more than women and are owed respect or concession for it because of how many men died in 75 years ago is the same mindset as slavery reparationists.

All that matters is now. Am I just not seeing why the deaths of these brave men three quarters a century ago matter to the gender inequalities of today?

I can see that you have good intentions but lets be honest here IF the USA starts WWIII with which ever country how many feminists do you really going to see on the front lines? The 1 or 2 ones that are crazy enough and that prove the exception to every rule but that is about it. You can make this point with ANY picture from any war and that is the point of the people that commented here. And that is a fact it is not something that is a false statement.

No one is trying to 'get points' for his grandfather's death in ww2 or whatever but there are plenty of MEN who are risking their lives on a battlefield (a high risk working environment or a real battlefield) and the only thing that men get from that in most casses are psychological traumas AND their spouse using them as a lunch ticket and divorce raping them.

Your comment is much more inaccurate then the statement made above from my point of view.

Either way I really appreciate your concern we should not forget that our grandfathers and their fathers had much harder life than we do (on average) so yes point taken.

arent men dying today? how many women did fight the korean war? how many did fight Vietnam? how many fought in Irak?

When you tell a guy why men have to fight, after some initial arguments, he mostly comes to agree that (in the twisted logic that war is) it makes sense. Men are just better at fighting in general and with something as existence threatening as war is, you would want to make sure to send people that are as best as possible at it.

Feminist, in their infinite stupidity, deny plain and simple factual truths. They say that women are just as capable in fighting as men which has been PROVEN wrong many times over. However, even if that were true, when it comes to actual fighting, they are nowhere to be found. Tell me, if you were a General responsible for nothing less then the SURVIVAL of your people, would you take a risk with such people on something as important as a war? again, one mistake might end you and everything dear to you.

This is no fucking joke, not a "light" subject like Intersexuality or even rape which fucking pales to the terrors of a full scale war.

Sure, there are men who sit in front of a Computer and jerk off all day but with appr. 3.5 Billion men, sure you will find one or two that dont fit the bill of the "perfect man". The question is, if you have to take a decision that will decide over life and death of possibly a whole nation, will you allow your decision to be decided based on a few examples or the general attributes of a large group of people.

There are women who can fight among the 3.5 Billion for sure, do you wanna go through every and last one of them to gather those few? By then your enemies will be shitting on your lawn and pissing on your "liberal western culture".

When we talk of men who fought, we dont necessarily take personal credit for them. We just try to understand the gender specifics on a broader spectrum. Not everyone of us will be tasked with such an important mission as to plan the defense of a whole nation but those few who are would be well adviced, not to listen to the background noise of a few psychopathic insecure SJW shits.

Well I think you completely misunderstand this subreddit. Fundamentally. You have to let go of your initial assumptions and the idea that we are trying to keep anyone down.

We are men who are trying to avoid social conditioning that affects us greatly. We are accepting how people generally act when given choice in our modern free society (that is what we usually refer to, how things happen, not how we'd like it to be). That requires some consistent re-checking and questioning.

Your point of contention; that I personally am super happy about stopping women getting into engineering because I'm threatened by women with skill, have low insecurity so I am 'getting back' at them? Is honestly what every single woman or ally to women says with only surface thought. They then carry on with their day.

This is not at all how the reality is. So even though MGTOW do sit back in the real world and let things play out, we look into things and discuss human nature and civilizational direction in depth on this sub. It is our one place.

I have time to chat a bit so that was my detailed way of answering "I am fine with women getting jobs in STEM and have absolutely no problem with it. If they make it just like the men, good luck to them."

I am sorry to inform you but you are a stupid person. Women will never be able to be equal to men because they simply are incapable of being so! Its a biological fact they aren't as strong or as smart and there are plenty of evidence for that. Just look at the best people in any sport and you will notice a huge difference between their performance. That is not something that is men's fault that is nature and if you can't come in terms with that then you are just stupid and that is that.

There are negatives when you put a woman into the place of a men in the army for example. Their physical test in order to be accepted is lower then the men's which is simply retarded because in a life and death situation that woman out there simply will not be able to grab her male buddy with his gear and drag him somewhere safe because she is physically incapable of doing so. No one is asking women to be equal to men but there are some things they should give up as a result of not being able to do perform as well as they do. Equality is impossible and will never happen because women never were and never will be equal to men. I am sorry that you think that our reality "hates you" but that is your problem not men's.

why oh why do you think, not being able to serve in combat makes you "inferior" to men?

Men have been trying to avoid combat in nearly every major war. They have shot themselves in the foot so they could get away from the horrors and lead a "normal" life.

Are you making the same mistake young men make possibly? glorifying war as a place of "glory" and "fame"? A war is a place where good men are sent to DIE.

They die of bullets, get chopped to pieces with sharp objects, get blasted to bits by heavy artillery shells, they burn to a crisp because other men throw fire on them. Many have died without ever seeing the enemy, they died of cold, hunger, sickness or just killed themselves. Do you think those men considered themselves "superior" to anything? When all you can think is to get out of a shithole do you think they had the "luxury" to "enjoy their male privilige"?

I think it is admirable that you offer to take your share of the burden but please do think further. Think were you can help those men more, together with them in a shitridden trench? where you just might be more of a burden then a help or back home making sure those men who come back find a place that was worth fighting for.

Thrust me, that will make you more then equal, a woman who is reliable, honest, faithful is all a soldier can wish for and will make his job a little more "bearable".

Remember one thing, neither men nor women really get to choose their gender before their birth. There is no questionnaire handed to you by holy Petrus, allowing to choose your gender. We all get tossed into this world with our genders fixed, our nationalities, our race, our "wealth" among others, predetermined by our parents who themselves also just followed "the call of nature". We all try to make the best out of our situation and it would be only logical that we consider our strenght and weaknesses and act accordingly.

Do not try to be a man, no matter how hard you try, you will always be a "second class man" at best. Do try to be a "first class woman", that is much easier to achieve in comparison and trust me, no man with half a functioning brain would consider a first class woman as "inferior".

Thanks for taking the time to respond and elaborate on what a post like this means to you. I agree on all counts, a standard should be a standard. If that standard ends up weeding out half of men but 98% of women, tough shit. No lower expectations, no quotas. It doesn't make a lick of sense to lower the physical standard for a physical role.

I was commenting on the stat I see on here about 99.999% of combat deaths being men. Lumping in the greatest conflict in modern history in the stat of combat deaths makes the point weak. The fact that women didn't even have the opportunity to fight in combat roles let alone die in them is a chink in the whole "well look how many more men died in combat than women". It's like saying 99%+ of childbirth deaths have been women. Men can't give birth so the stat is pointless.

It is much more useful to compare combat deaths since 2013 when it became legal for women to join the military in combat roles. We would still be able to demonstrate a huge majority of combat deaths being men. We still demonstrate the underlying point of OP while eliminating an objection.

If we could make following insane experiment (and obviously we cant because its insane) the results would be devastatingly clear.

The experiment goes like this:

we take 1000 highly trained male soldiers, the best among the best and we take 1000 highly trained female soldiers, again the best of the best and let them fight in an "arena" (or a area to be exact), the 1000 men would cut through the women like carving a cake. Of course, this hypothetical experiment assumes that both parties fight will the full intend to kill and no emotions holding them back, like in a real war.

Feminists make the mistake to consider this "inequality" in a social sense. However, this is inequality on a strict sense, based on natural evolutionary parameters NOT on human made or planned actions. Therefore, we do NOT have a choice in this matter. If we are threatened and have to fight (most sane man DO NOT wish to fight to the death) then the "privilige" of dying a mostly violent death falls upon men who are unfortunately better equipped for such a task by nature.

So if feminists want to complain about this "inequality", then the right adress is not a human court but Nature@evolutiondotcom or God if they are believers.

We did NOT choose this, we just do what we can to fucking survive. We lose in someone elses game and dont even know who this "someone" is.

now I understand you much much better and yes, this is a trap to look out for.

However, it is nigh impossible when you talk about the genders as a whole to avoid taking past as well as present into consideration.

You must look at it differently. Think of the both genders as persons, all men are fully represented by person X and all females are fully represented by person Y (the other way around would be a pun that I dont intend ;) )

Now imagine those two persons in front of a court, both making arguments, surely their past actions would be considered and analyzed regardless of their present situation. That is what we are trying to do.

You would be right when we were talking about subgroups of genders. For example when Feminists claim past accomplishments of women who had no obvious ties to the feminism as their own, then I would fully agree with you but we are talking about men and women on the whole so every "members" (dont you love how membership in both "clubs" is mandatory) achievement can be taken into consideration.
