Hey everyone! I'm new here and am a 25 year old guy living in the USA. I never really knew there was a specific word for it, "MGTOW", but after seeing many posts on the topic it all started to click about what I've been pondering for several years. I've had several relationships in the past but have never been married. Here's a little about me: I'm a 6'4 white male who's athletic and would by many people be considered attractive . I'm also an engineer in my day to day life. I've been dabbling in small biotech companies on the stock market ever since the age of 20. I always made a couple good picks here and there for a few years. However, a few years back I doubled down on one in particular and made a substantial amount of money. By substantial I mean enough to pay for several houses outright in cash. I do not show that I have money and pretend to be a professional struggling to get by just out of college. However, the big issue that brought me to mgtow is the marriage crisis in the US. I believe the divorce rate is higher than 50% last time I read it. Every relationship I've been in has led in the direction towards marriage and I've always backed out before it got to that point . I am very concerned about possibly losing half of my assets should I get married and then another half in remarriage etc etc. I know several of my guy friends in the age range of 25 to 35 who are divorced from their first marriages and do not want to end up in that situation. For the time being I have been casually dating using apps online but was wondering if any other members are worried about the financial implications of marriage in today's climate. Don't get me wrong that isn't the sole reason but it is a big reason and I was wondering if any other guys have gone through the same thing ?
