Every man is a fisherman, the nicer his boat the more fish come swim near him

Fish that really are impressed by the boat try to stick around, if you let them, over time they say "if you really love me, why do you still have this boat, and this fishing pole?"

But if you get rid of all that stuff so that you can be a good man for her, she will eventually say "man you aint even shit, you don't even have a boat or a fishing pole"

He says he just wants women to appreciate the sacrifice that he's making when he gives up his boat and he doesn't ever want his girl to stop seeing him as a great man

So basically what I'm deducing is that because our society has allowed for such female promiscuity, women don't appreciate married men or men in relationships who get rid of their boat, and sacrifice who they are for the women, and since they are so used to be caught by so many other fishermen, they have no point jumping off his boat and taking half.
