I liked some of his songs, years ago. Wow, did that ever change my opinion of him. So, we have a President that the mainstream of both major parties worked against, plus mainstream news and entertainment. And then Eminem joins up with the mainstream? That just doesn't seem very Eminem-like. I knew that I wouldn't be able to stand watching his entire Trump rap, but what I saw seemed embarrassing to watch, as if he were rapping an outline of what to say from the Democratic Party. Did Eminem have no idea of how this would look to so many people? Was he given an offer so great to do that that he just couldn't turn it down?

To me, one of Eminem's main things was saying wild stuff, you never knew what he might say. That just doesn't fit with rapping to support everything mainstream. What next? Is Eminem going to rap about being sure that we all drink our milk and get a good night's sleep? And be sure to get our flu shot? I hope he starts rapping in commercials for Wal-Mart, McDonalds, and the big banks.

Even worse, what I saw of the video was presented in such a direct propaganda way. I found it to be insulting to the public -- like, "oh look, Eminem is telling you how to vote, you like Eminem, you better listen to what he has to say." As if all they have to do is get enough "opinion leaders/famous people" on their side, and they get to control the public. How horrible. I'll never buy another Eminem product. I'll still listen to his old music, since I already own it, but I actually can't even appreciate his old music anymore without being reminded of what he is now, and it does affect my enjoyment of his old products.

I wonder if the Trump rap will be on his next CD...LOL...what are the chances they give him a Grammy for it, or maybe for something else as a reward for the Trump rap, maybe? Will be interesting to see if he gets a Grammy, thinking about that.

Whatever small amount of fun and honest entertainment that I still associated with the entertainment industry is mostly gone now. If even Eminem can put out a song like that, the whole industry just comes across as so bad to me now.

I mean, think about the most mainstream, commercial pop music stars that you can. How many of them put out songs that come across as direct political propaganda ads?

I think that he lost touch with his old self too. Who is he to tell us all whom to vote for? Does he think that he is some wise old philosopher now? He is an ENTERTAINER. I wouldn't even have an issue with him having political opinions if the song didn't come across as propaganda, if his opinions didn't sound like something straight from the Democratic Party, and if he came across as having actually researched all political sides.

Didn't he also basically say that his fans had to choose him or Trump? If so, that may be the worst part of the whole thing. If he wants to comment on politics, that's one thing, but bossing around his own fans? It also comes across as having an unbelievably over-inflated sense of one's own importance for an entertainer to put themselves on the same level as their fans' political beliefs. Like, what's more important to a fan: Eminem's songs or the direction of their country????!! I mean, the whole thing is just so laughable. I feel like the people who are coming up with these political strategies have been stuck in that one-percenter bubble for so long (maybe their whole lives) that they don't even understand how most people think anymore.
