My Aunt, sure she's overweight and plays the homekeeper to my uncle who's a contractor, but they're traditional.

What makes her NAWALT in my eyes is that I was kicked out by my parents when I was 14, spent a few months with my Grandmother before she gave up too (raising a teen is no easy game at 74 with a brain tumour). But when I was 17, homeless on the streets, I ran into her one day, she hadn't a clue where I'd been or what I'd been doing after I'd gone from my Grandmothers, noone in the family did, anyway, without hesitation she said "Rebellionmarch! I'm so happy to see you! Are you okay?" "Yeah Aunty I'm alright, I manage to keep a job most of the time, just lost my last one though, couldn't make it to work on time from the shelter" and just like that she said "Well get whatever you have, you're coming home with us, let's go meet your Uncle and get some food in you" and that was that, took me in, pulled strings to get me a good solid paying job building trusses and driving forklift, within a year I was on my feet and able to get my own place, and I've been fine since, that woman is more a mother in my eyes than the bitch who spawned me.

Next year they're taking me to Tuscany with their sons where they've rented a historic villa for two weeks =)

My mother. My parents have been happily married since 1985, and they do still get along great- they take vacations together all the time, including a trip to Atlantic City just this week. She's still in good shape despite being 55 years old and would do anything for me or my brothers. I thought this was normal because that's how they portrayed families on TV when I was growing up in the 90s, turns out the traditional tight knit family was far from normal even then.
