And it's true.. You can only feel inferior, if you perceive others as superior.. Perceiving = allowing yourself to see something like that = consent. It's also allowing the option to benchmark yourself to other people's lives, which generally doesn't create much happiness. Find your own value, value yourself above all else and define your own success. Go your own way

This is true, but it's a bit hard to get out of that "I'm inferior" mindset after so much "the future is female" "men are trash" "you're terrible for being white" bullshit.

But then I remember that I haven't really met a non-white person who didn't care about my race at all and just liked me for who I was, and that the only people who have shamed me for being what I am are, you guessed it.. white women.

I've spent quite a bit of time reflecting on this concept as a teenager, in order to understand the mechanics of bullying since I've been a victim for quite some time as a kid, and the conclusion I arrived at was (and this won't surprise anybody): Talk is cheap and means absolutely nothing in the end. It's just fluff. I was simply too shortsighted to see the bigger picture. Bullies always have a motive and once you identify this, you can pretty much deny them all access by simply not giving them what they want.

Actions are the only tangible things that matter. Words simply represent something and most of the time are pointless and useless. So yeah, someone insults you, it's just them showing the world how they feel about you, which, let's be honest here, has absolutely no tangible effect on your person. Zero.

Someone calling you an asshole a thousand times will change absolutely nothing in any sort of tangible way. Therefore there's absolutely no reason to even care. On the contrary, they just gave you ammunition to use against them. For example, I don't lift a finger for people in need who have shown me that they don't appreciate me. No reason to.
