I am wondering what people think about this issue. It is not all about being qualified or not.

For example when i made my master thesis defence, as a procedure required decision must be sent to institution with head of department's signature. That woman wasn't there (it was still work time) and we called her to say our situation is urgent since that was also meeting day for institution's administration meeting day. She refused to come and said ''If he (talking about my supervisor but i won't write name since don't want to be exposed) wanted my signature so much, he could write my name in jury and may get signature easily''. After that my supervisor said ''you now meet with women in academy and you are going meet with more''

Also when i talked with female students, after some time they all agree that they are always looking for male supervisors instead of males since their behavior to female student is quite annoying.

When i read a book about foundation universities in Turkey, author (also 2 women) talked about mobbing in some part of it. They claimed women are mostly became victim in mobbing but they also admit more than %90 percent of aggressors are women. Later when talked with my supervisor, he agreed and talked the about shits that happened before.

At the beginning i thought all these are mostly because of shitty environments in Turkish universities but when i come to Scandinavia and ask about some friends idea about this situation, they said me it is not different here. One local guy said his priority is to work with male PI, and one from UK said never again to work with female PI after several nightmarish experiment.
