Putting a ring on someone's finger and labeling it "marriage" isn't going to stop the husband or wife from messing around with other people if either party is unsatisfied. No fault divorce has almost made any kind of infidelity consequence free and the whole institution of marriage arguably pretty pointless outside of any form of religious context which even that is on pretty flimsy grounds nowadays.
