News & various mainstream media -- such as it is -- has always been "filtered" and in many ways "censored" (not to mention mostly FAKE, that is "contrived" and agenda driven propaganda).

Always has been, always will be.

The [current year] version of it will eventually pass... to be replaced by the [future year] version. Which may be similar, or may be entirely different.

The idea that news & media was EVER "objective" or "free" or "honest" or even "true" -- that "journalists" were ever RELIABLE sources of information -- was simply ONE of many prior propagandistic "spins."

While it is still going on, remember the atrocities that human herd think can get people to do. History shows a bleak picture of how far things can go before a breaking point is reached. Luckily/Hopefully, I think people with bread and circus will be unwilling to go as far as the starving.
