They are concerned that men will take steps to protect themselves, and it might adversely affect them. Well, of course we are. Any man not following the Pence rule is just asking for trouble in this "no evidence required" environment. Any man who does anything that is even remotely non-work related with a woman at work is a fool. Socializing with women co-workers in any capacity in or out of work is playing russian roulette.

No we fucking aren't. Due process requires that the accuser provides enough evidence to prove beyond the shadow of a doubt the accused has committed the crime.

"Beyond the shadow of a doubt" means that there is no other possible explanation of the crime in question, other than that the accused is guilty. Anything less than that means they walk. Full stop, end of story, period, mic drop.

The next fear is that men will get so nervous that they're going to be accused of harassment that they will simply stop hiring, meeting or socialising with female colleagues. There are reports this is already happening. We will get shut out of the room where important decisions are made because men fear our presence? How ironic would that be?
