11 year USMC vet here, and I thank the lord I had no females in my unit. I got out right around the time the Corps started getting pressured into intergrating women into CD. Even though 3 years ago they concluded that female Marines are GROSSLY over matched by male Marines, and even highbranking female NCOs stated females have no place in our infantry, some of these broads still pushed for it. The initiative is dead in the water now though. Every once in the blue some feminist or female Marine trying to fast track to NCO will try to bring it back up, but the study is thrown into their face and they shut the fuck up.

I've been vocal about it here and other subs. I am not against women in the corps. Not at all. There are some quality she-devils among our ranks. But they have no place in the infantry.

I'd have no problem with there being female characters/main characters so long as they're cool and not forced. Example: Kat from Halo Reach. I had no problem with her and felt a little sad when she died, seeing them carry out her limp body that was alive and running just moments ago. Also she had a prosthetic arm, and it was part of who she was.. She was cool because she was just there. Another spartan. Not to be treated any differently than the rest of the team, but the Battlefield 5 girls just feel forced. random prosthetic arm thrown in there, shown saving the player/a guy, they're literally the only ones shown to be useful in the trailer. And why is the camera on them 70% of the trailer? Once again, treat them like they're just another pair of hands. That's likely a large chunk of why it feels forced.

Can confirm, was in infantry. Women drop their rucks all the time.
That's why I chose to go infantry so I didn't have to deal with them.

I did full gear 13km marches with women in the platoon and they all carried their weight with no bitching. If one of them dropped her pack and i was told to pick it up I would have laughed and continued on.

Had a female troop quit marching with her ruck on, so my PTO at the time, an SF O-5 took her ruck and put it on top of his and still beat everyone up the hill
