Geez...it's super obvious why women lie about this to men they want to date seriously...there's no downside. It can only help them. So long as they don't get caught in the lie.

So, this is what women do: they count up all the guys that you will find out about and all the longer term boyfriends. Any guy you will never know about is not counted. That's it. They might sprinkle in a small number of "bad decision" type stories to make it all seem more plausible, because if they were lying then why would they tell you about their ONLY ONS ever on spring break?

Women lie because they know men find that high notch count unattractive. They just won't admit it. Plus they think if I keep it low, he may stick around with me. In fact any girl you slept with has probably done shit to someone else she wont do with you. When you look at them as nothing but fountains of shit, it's easy to see chicks for what they really are.

They fuck everyone because it's the only value they have and they require an endless amount of validation from everyone, not just their boy friend. They lie about it because they know deep down they've taken the low road their entire lives and nobody respects that.
