The following story is completely true and even I don't believe it. You hear these stories in the news about women basically getting away with murder in the court system and sometimes they defy all logic. I am dealing with one of those stories right now. Not a woman I ever married or dated or even slept with. This is a woman I rented a room from for less than a month. I am going to be very vague because this is ongoing litigation still and I don’t want this post ending up in court. I am not going to identify her or me due to potential DOX issues. So I apologize if there are holes in the story you question. I also apologize for the text wall tome.

TLDR: Woman I rented a home from tries to sleep around with me, I decline, and she tries to get even by intentionally poisoning me. I end up hospitalized. Police investigate and say it’s an accident. I have over 15 grand in medical bills and other damages. I sue and 4 lawyers fuck up what should have been an easy case. I end up with 45 grand in legal fees and a counter suit for another 100 grand or so. All this because I wouldn’t screw the bitch.

A bit about me. Single, never married, no kids, very hetero (Not Gay). Not a millionaire but make good money. I have a highly technical job and am responsible for millions of dollars of equipment. I am a decorated Veteran of the Gulf War. Never had any trouble with the law.

My job requires me to travel to locations regularly for extended periods of time. I am paid a flat rate and have to fit my costs of living in that flat rate. I get paid really well but I don’t get hotels and food covered under per dium. I just get one hourly rate. Usually I rent a room somewhere for the few months I am in the area on a short term lease.

A couple of years ago I was in a city down south and found a cheap room for rent for around $700. I paid for my entire stay in advance plus a deposit. The owner of the home (a woman) won the house in a divorce, didn’t live there but rented all the rooms out to various “professionals”. She lives with her boyfriend. She’s an older woman in her 60s. She owns a couple of businesses, a store that sells sex toys, a liquor store that sells drug paraphernalia. She’s filed for bankruptcy every 7 years like clockwork. And suffers from Bipolar disorder but still somehow carries a gun. Both are members of the local swinger community. She's had national stories written about her being a "Strong independent woman" with pictures of her surrounded by dildos and bongs she sold at her store. Both are utter and complete scum bags.

I went to drop something off at the boyfriend’s house as a favor for one of the roommates and while there the woman asks if I want to screw around. Boyfriend wasn’t there at the time. I wasn’t interested and as politely as one can declined her. Got the fuck out of there ASAP.

A couple of days go by and she goes fucking ballistic on me. Demands I leave the house and that I broke some rules and I need to leave immediately. Sends a bunch of threatening text messages and voicemails. Never says specifically what I did. So I told her we had a lease and I paid months in advance and that if she wants me out she will have to go through the courts. I am 1000% sure I had not done anything wrong. She goes even further ballistic, says she will be over later to take care of me. I wasn’t sure what that meant but I wasn’t afraid of a 60 year old woman with health issues (boy was I wrong).

So I go to bed. While I am asleep she comes into the house and poisons the fuck out of me. Not going to be specific here because this would be too obvious if I say what happened. Just accept that she did something to poison me. I am rushed to the hospital. It wasn’t anything life threatening but I was very sick. Hospital releases me a day later and I report the bitch to the police. The bitch had told one of the other roommates she had done it on purpose to get me out of her house. Another roommate had pictures and video of the woman as she did the dead. No one in the house tolerated her shit. She was constantly over in everyone business and regularly went snooping through personal items with people were not home. So I have a confession over text message to a witness, pictures and video, and her threatening text messages and voice mails to me. The police investigate and end up saying it was an accident and are not going to press charges. I even showed them the threatening text messages and let them listen to the voicemails. Still won’t press any charges. The witness, a “friend” of the bitch, even tells them of their conversation about the bitch doing it on purpose and still the wont press charges.

I’ve been out of the house a few days and get a call from one of the roommates. I am being evicted. I’ve already left so I can’t imagine why she could evict me. Now she knew I had left permanently days ago. I called her and told her I had reported her to the police and that I would not be returning to the house and she needed to pay me my rent and deposit and I would be billing her for the hospital bill.

I go to the eviction hearing (was never actually served) and the judge isn’t interested in my story or evidence that I paid and awards her the eviction without question. She claims a bunch of damages too.

So I lawyer up. We file a counter suit. I’ve got something around 8 grand in hospital bills and other damages. Total damages are around 15 grand. Day for the trial shows up and my lawyer is nowhere to be found. Fucker takes off with my money and never does anything. Meanwhile the bitch has turned the whole thing over to her insurance company claiming it was a simple mistake and she didn’t mean to poison me.

So I get lawyer #2. Lawyer #2 a woman, cancels the first suit and files a new one in a higher court. Makes a bunch of mistakes including putting a lien on the home of the boyfriend. I point out the error of this and she eventually takes it off but not without a debate about how she has been doing this for 3 decades and knows what she is doing (this is important and will come up later). A little over 10 Grand goes to this woman. She makes a couple of other mistakes and the defense points this out to the judge and she gets sanctioned for them. They were things I told her she couldn’t do and instead of admitting she fucked up she quits the case and says don’t contact her she will not answer my calls or emails.

Lawyer #3 takes the case on and quickly gets up to speed. Can’t believe what this woman did and wants to make sure she pays. Then lawyer #3 finds out about the mistakes the 2nd lawyer made and quits the case out of fear he will be held responsible for the mistakes the 2nd lawyer made.

I’ve spent 25 grand at this point.

Lawyer #4 comes in and takes over. 10 grand upfront payment. I’m now into this for 35 grand. Lawyer is an idiot. Doesn’t do anything to prepare for trial. I ask him to collect some important evidence from the defense and he completely blows it. Defense lawyers are destroying evidence left and right. Evidence I had to go out on my own and try to save. I provide all this to my lawyer. He does nothing with it. Defendant is lying all throughout her deposition testimony and really bad lies that don’t make any sense. Her story under oath keeps changing through three depositions, she keeps claiming illness in the middle of the deposition so we have to cancel and reschedule 3 times. Just so they can wrack up my expenses.

Judge refuses to let me include the text messages and voice mails in the trial because I can’t prove they were her even though she admits it in her deposition testimony. My attorney fucked up getting phone call records so we could prove it was her and missed a deadline so now they are not available.

Another 10 grand gets us to trial and he is completely unprepared for trial. I am shocked. I spent 20 grand just with this idiot. He did so bad the judge yelled at him in court for not being prepared. He shows up 45 mins late for the first day of the trial. Didn’t have evidence or any sort of cohesive plane. It was so bad the judge would not allow us to submit the evidence we did have. But she did award me part of my damages. Not all of it but say a 1/3rd. I’d say it was purely out of pity but the judge seems to be a feminist man hater. Its money I will never see anyway because the bitch is supposedly broke and the boyfriend pays all her bills. She, as she claimed in court, “Doesn’t have to work”.

Remember that lien on the boy friend’s house? Now he is suing me for 10x over the amount that I won in court, claiming that the lien kept him from selling his house and he lost out on 100,000s in the sale as a result. Original lawyer who fucked up refuses to admit her mistake and says it’s my problem.

Current lawyer won’t take the case unless I pay him another 15 grand as a deposit. But he is so bad I fear he will make it worse. I’d file a malpractice suit against him but I can’t afford it. No other lawyer will take the case for fear of being held responsible for the 2nd and 4th lawyer’s mistakes. And the judge wouldn’t let me have a 5th lawyer in the case.

So now I am stuck without a lawyer and pretty much broke as a result of all this. I did nothing other than not sleep with this bitch. She gets off scot free while I am stuck with a 45,000 legal bill.

It’s very possible I will lose this counter suit and end up having to pay the boyfriend 100 grand.

I don’t know what I will do. The eviction has damaged my perfect credit which is a requirement for my job. So I will probably lose that soon. And any other company requires the same so my career is out the window. And if the guy wins I will have to pay him the 100 grand or so which will bankrupt me.

I’m looking at appealing pro se but that’s something I am not really capable of doing without help. I am nearly broke and going to be out of a job any day as a result of this. I’d make a gofundme page but I can’t even do that because the insurance company lawyers will use that against me.

Are there any lawyers or paralegals who might be willing to take an IOU on legal fees to get through this and help me out? I can’t say specifically where this is because the lawyers have turned this into a circus in the local legal community and I don’t need this post being used against me.
