Love 'em. The Beach Boys had some absurdly well produced records. Full orchestra. That was the golden age of the record industry...in my humble opinion. Love Motörhead, as well.

To each his own? I dont understand the comparison to air supply at all...and if we were at a bar I'd probably argue with you, possibly insult you.

Different music from a different time. What they sing about made sense at the time and sold tons of albums. You are going to find that most bands of all genres excluding a few are going to have something that panders to females in their collection. Kiss, G&R, Motley Crue, etc. One has to look at the time that it came out, to get context for what they are hearing. Hell, even Pantera did this with This Love. The point is, without regard to the content and messaging one can still enjoy the music. I prefer to listen to the stuff with pandering lyrics as if the world were ideal, and their content actually still made sense.

I will be very curious, assuming the music industry doesn't implode, what the new hard, tough bands are going to look like, and sing about. The old guard like Motorhead, Pantera, Metallica, Slayer, etc are getting old and dying. I haven't seen anything coming out that will replace them.

RIP Lemme. - Interesting trivia, Lemme was known to drink a bottle of Jack a day for most of his career. I did the math once, and it was an impressive amount of alcohol, his poor liver couldn't have known what hit it.
