My mother is useless

I used to observe my mother a lot. Being detached from my parents relationship helped me with that. There were times where everything would be peaceful for a week or two. I would come back home from school or later from work and I could see the wheels turning in her head. Like she was thinking "it's been too peaceful here for far too long motherfuckers here I come". Every time I would spot that subtle shift in atmosphere in the air , terror would soon follow. AWALT.
