I think there should be no free rides based on winning the genetic lottery. I believe in meritocracy and equal opportunity for all. Our society really has to eliminate genetics based discrimination in all its forms.

I had a male only scholarship, not large, but everything counts. Soon after I graduated someone 'broke the trust' by suing to allow women to apply. The suit cost so much the scholarship, which had existed for almost 50 years, is now broke and no more money for anyone.

Although I can't and won't disparage biology/medical, it's still a very 'forgiving' science. In math and engineering, there's almost always a "correct" answer. In biology and chemistry, there is a lot more leeway. There can be many failed attempts to do things. And there may be some experiments that take years and never produce results.

I'm not saying it's not important/hard. That would be foolish and ignorant. I'm just saying that the more 'forgiving' (the allowance for mistakes) the science, the less valuable it is.

I took electronics and switched to computers. Computers are more 'forgiving' than electronics.

To be honest this confirms something I've been privy to for a while. MGTOW is not new, it's not Modern, and infact there's Men out there with our Mindset that figured out the only way forward is to help Men and promote male future.

You can tell by the fact that most Men seek male Mentors, male heirs, male co-workers, and also focus on male-support (A shitload of Therapy groups revolve around male-centric issues, especially AA tends to be a male-dominated. Drugs is another thing). Men who don't want anything to do with Women aren't rare, they're just not very vocal about it and don't advertise it. They work in the shadows, basically, or rather in plain sight. You know them as the 'mysteriously single' guys in your company/workplace without families.

Does it seem odd that it's a GRADUATE scholarship for PRE-MED studies? Seems odd.
