Yes we know... we have all felt just like you do now. It's the whole "Only the sith deal in absolutes." thing. As a rational thinker, you will rightly question blanket statements as unlikely.
So you reach the logical conclusion we all did... "beware of potentially toxic ideologies which promote social restrictions and make claims in absolutes."
And of course, you're right.
Those who have experienced the negative impacts of female instinctual behaviour writ large will properly conclude just what you did... just unlucky.
Girl Writes What uses the jellybean analogy to describe the problem. I have a jar of jellybeans which all look identical, but half are deadly poison... want one?
AWALT really means that all women inherit female characteristics, both physical and mental, which are fundamentally different from males. Just as males inherited dominance and aggression as successful mechanisms in evolutionary terms, females inherited hypergamy etc. for the same reason... these behaviors are good at creating new humans.
Not all men will act on their dominance instinct, but we all have it, or we wouldn't be here. It's the same for women... The problem isn't hypergamy per se... it's gynocentrism that's the problem. Hypergamy is as old as the female sex, and was wildly successful throughout human evolution, propelling our species to the top of the food chain. For all that time however, hypergamy was counterbalanced by a mechanism which is now missing from human populations... ...male scarcity.
Societies have attempted to control for hypergamy run amok through social engineering... with success... Today however, cultural Marxism has destroyed these social mechanisms letting female hypergamy off the chain so to speak.
Evolving in an environment of male scarcity, female hypergamy would function well as a gene filtering mechanism to select for better versions of ourselves, while maintaining social cohesion since females would compete socially among themselves for not just the best mate... but any mate at all. This instinct now betrays our species as our females who are wired to seek the best mate all seek the same 20% of men.
And here we are.
So... would you like a jellybean?
