Yeah I don't know why it was targeted specifically at moms. This is definitely every woman I've ever been in a relationship with. It's unreal. Forgot to unload the dishwasher? Time for a fight. Didn't realize she wanted you to tidy up before she got home? Fight. She texted you she had a bad day and you didn't realize that was code for do the laundry and have dinner ready otherwise you never do anything to help around the house? Yup, fight. You already did all of the above? Why didn't you cook fish instead of chicken? Don't you know that she is burnt out on chicken? Do you not pay attention at all? And why are your socks not in the dirty clothes bin? She works so hard to keep the place clean and all you do is mess it up, even her friends agreed when she was bashing you to them. You piece of shit.

My ex-wife bitched about the way I folded towels. I didn't know there was a right way and a wrong way. They fit on the shelf so it was fine. Not to her. I finally gave up trying and told her to do it herself. Same with loading the dishwasher. Fine, YOU do it. We couldn't even grocery shop together because she bitched about the way I did that.
The divorce was so liberating.

The anxiety of constantly walking on eggshells is exhausting. Never knowing if you've "fucked something up" in any way shape or form. Not knowing if you're unlocking your front door after a long day at work to walk in to a fight, or if it's going to be a pleasant evening. Or just being able to tell she's about to go off just based on her texts or calls. And getting to work through the day KNOWING you're about to go home to a fight...

Yeah, and at 60 I'm sure that I'm low on the desirability scale so none of them care one way or the other. But for my own peace of mind I'm never going to marry again. Never.

Even if you were 25 and rich and the next Einstein... It's still not worth it. They are such a drain - emotionally, physically, socially, monetarily. It always ends. There is no such thing as a permanent relationship. So what's the point? Why start playing a game that you know is impossible to beat? What fun is that?
My favorite examples are Elon Musk and Brad Pitt. What would seem the perfect deal. Handsome guys, rich, famous, seemingly likeable, women love them, guys want to be them. But look, they scored what seemed like the dream. A hot chick to top it all off. But all they did was wear them down and eventually walk away. Not even going to bother looking at the financial fallout for each of them.

Like the parasites that they are.

56 and supposed to divorce in August. After which I will never be marrying again, AND never having a relationship again either. I'm done. Had my kids, bought the house, paid it off. Now I just want my freedom. I hope never to be with a woman again.

Welcome to the club. Women our age aren't anything to look at anyway. Most of them waddle around with a bitchy look on their face. I wouldn't touch any of them.

Physically, yes... they're pretty much all unattractive by this age. (Not that I'm a stunner myself.) Which just leaves personality and behaviour.
And in my experience...no thanks to that too. I plan to stay free the rest of my life.

My wife didn't have a job. We had two kids. In our bathroom was a "towel rack" with 12 hand towels on it, four rows each with three hand towels on them. There was one for washing your face, one for washing your hands, one for washing your body, and a different row for each person.
I couldn't remember the system so of course I just used whichever one was closest to the sink....and got in trouble for it.
Then she got a job herself and the entire system disappeared...

My mother once confessed to me that she sometimes started arguments with my father for no reason other than to keep things interesting. Knowing how long and hard he worked to provide for the family it was a horrific thought.
