That's a good question. I feel that it probably somehow relates to their ability to acquire the most support and resources for offspring, but I'm not sure how the pieces all fit together.

Because they are insecure they seek others to validate them and prove that they are valuable. They seek attention from men to prove to themselves that they are attractive to those men. They also seek for likes and views on social media to prove that they are valuable compared to others.

From an evolutionary perspective, because they are physically much weaker and mentally inferior and cannot effectively perform hunting/gathering tasks, the only way to ensure their own survival is through the provision of others. The attention of others was life and death matter for them, and is hardwired into females biologically. Now this attention does not have to be directly from the male provider, because humans are social animals, getting the attention of other females (those with the attention or resources of the male providers) may also be to their benefit. Just look at feminism now.

Attention seeking is due to an inadequate feeling of self worth. When women seek attention from others it is because they feel inferior about who they are as a person, regardless of how attractive she is. She may act as if she loves herself but this is an image. Most women act confident but they are very insecure deep down. Self love, not to be mistaken for arrogance is what gives us our self worth. If you have self love you do not need to seek attention from outside sources as you already know you are a worthy and complete human being.

Therefore because a women's brain is incapable of producing genuine love, they cannot produce self love, so they need to get it from outside sources, which is where the constant need for attention stems from. We all know that women do not genuinely love men.

You may say a women loves her child genuinely, yes but that doesn't mean it is love but rather a deep caring for the survival of her offspring, it's not a choice, she can not control that feeling as it's hardwired in her for the survival of our species. Us men on the other hand can grow to love a women over time, a women cannot grow to love a man over time, hypergamy proves this. A women can drop a man she's been married to for 10 years if someone better come into her life. A man can't just do that, because if he genuinely loves his wife he wouldn't be able to just leave her for another women who has much more material wealth than his wife does.

As men we build ourselves, mentally and physically so that we can change the world around us with our ideas, inventions and creations. The esteem of a man comes from within his own being because creates it as a result of building process that he uses to transform himself into a thinker, a weapon, a builder, etc. A man is his own greatest achievement.

Women believe that they were born perfect - the are hardwired to place birthed attributed (their looks and genetic make-up above all else). Life is not about building themselves on ever driven quest towards achievement of perfection but about getting everyone to recognize them as object of perfection. This is why women do not have self-esteem but rely wholly on validation.
