A friend of mine makes money selling stuff on eBay. He finds garbage, cleans it up and sells it.

Passive income can be difficult. Start a blog with ads and/or affiliate links is the easiest one. Make a YouTube channel. All of these types of things take work up front, but can pay off long term if you can find success. If you can find a subscription service that you can run, that can do well too.

I haven't been able to make real passive income work very well long term. I make good money as a freelance writer, which I can do anytime/anywhere, but that certainly isn't passive.

I've got a shop set up on shapeways.com

upload a few 3d model files here and there and they just sell randomly, decently around the holidays and no upkeep.

They take a cut, but so long as they are in business i'll have the revenue
