Tbf I think If you're from 40% to 79%, there's chance. Less than that and you're screwed

Say you're 5-6/10 face wise and around 5'8 - 5'9 tall

Groomed beard

Smell good
Toned Body
Fit clothes that make you look taller
Good income

All these will make a 5-6/10 average joe into someone fuckable. I mean he won't compete with a 9/10 6'2 Chad who has all of these but nonetheless he'll be fuckable in an isolated case.

Humans aren't really polygamous like this though. I've read that some people think that before agriculture humans were either strongly polygamous (like these seals) or polyamorous (free-for-all orgies). Nonsense in my opinion. All hunter-gatherer or early agricultural societies studied are mostly monogamous. Human societies naturally tend towards monogamy. Monogamy is the best strategy for long term survival to ensure intra-group cooperation. Weakly monogamous though. We've always had cheating and divorce, as well as limited polygamy (only for the most powerful men).

This tendency women have to be strongly attracted towards elite males is perhaps a vestige of an earlier evolutionary period when we really were strongly polygamous, like these seals, or like gorillas or lions. But its a tendency that any functional society needs to discourage.
