Stardusk in his recent video has brought to the surface an interesting thought regarding his discussion with a former employee of a sperm bank.
Taken to its full extreme, the Orwellian digital catalogue of mate selection available to females can manifest in the cultivation of deleterious traits in a species. A common cited example of this is the Irish Elk, Megalocerus giganteus (pgs 208-209). Females progressively selected for males with such large antlers that they contributed to the extinction of the entire species roughly 10,000 years ago, with the antlers being so large that they literally impeded upon grazing, or prevented the rapid growth of smaller antlers during a period of rapid climate change (a huge metabolic cost to a shifting environment of scarce nutrients).
An analogue is the argument Stardusk's guest makes regarding treating the mate selection preferences of sperm clinic goers as dysgenic. These women (who are not exactly prime genetic specimens themselves, as you can imagine), are selecting by the following traits in order of importance:
It's essentially the "sexy son" situation. No preference for IQ or personality is noted (given the 60-70% heritability of these traits, they can likely be inferred from the donor history), the effect of these children being reared without a father (the guest states children of born in this manner do worse than multiracial children who have to deal with an identity ambiguity in many cases; that is extremely instructive), etc. With 50,000-60,000 of women pursuing this per year, it is the growth of a small and relatively wealthy single-mother class creating physically attractive, mentally-unstable, poorly-adjusted children.
It's a case study in the evolutionary outcomes of removing all restrictions and consequences to female procreative choices, with the only barrier being money.
Stardusk's guest remarks that this preference for tall men in particular, that has led to the ubiquitiousness of them in Nordic countries, actually manifests with diminishing returns after a point, with the height associated with joint problems, heart issues, and other health problems.
Ethical, principled, loyal, intelligent, patient, diligent, and wise men are not to be chosen by women who have all options at their disposal. Ergo, one can either be a good man, or one can be a sexy man (tall & dark triad). Men who would develop FTL travel, cure cancer and aging, perfect quantum computing, etc. are not given thought. Only the uberchad remains preferred.
This should be instructive. Of course, we all know this as the truth, but this discussion is a good one showing how the sheer prioritization of the tingle and self-gratification of the narcissistic female hindbrain outstrips any rationality in such a way that it can manifest as dysgenics. Imagine if this option were universally cheap to all women? What the world would become with a population of highly-attractive brain dead Chads crowding up the place... Quite a honorable species we would be, no?
More ammo for you.
Bless.

The increase in average height and average brain size during the 20th century are the main reasons for the increase in mean IQ scores. Wealth and ethnicity also correlates to IQ.
You can judge women for a lot of things, but not for their mate selection instincts.
