Plan your way out. If the gender card is being played to give an incompetent woman a pussypass, look for alternative employment.

There are dream jobs that live, thrive and survive in a meritocratic environment.

Is going solo a viable alternative to your current situation? Can you contract out your skills to multiple clients?

I was in gamedev for 12+ years. Its just not worth it unless you're indie, and that's not sustainable in my experience.

The reality is, the majority of female programmers suck and the industry is full of enabling beta simps. Your only options are to passively avoid working with her or leave.

Social justice ruined AAA and Indie is getting shamed as well. There's no winning with these Twitter idiots.

You're better off minimizing your life to the bare essentials, live with a bunch of like-minded men, get a part-time job and work on games in your spare time. Hell, on the job If you can get away with it.

I think the industry is too far gone.

I assume that you are in a position where this woman is your code buddy. I use the term buddy in the loosest possible sense of the word. It's generally an established practice in every software development job I've ever held. You work with someone with whom you are expected to review each other's code on an ongoing basis in order to catch each other's errors. If you've got a bad coding buddy, it's a no-win scenario for you. She's not going to catch your mistakes and you're going to spend all of your time fixing her mistakes. If you don't have the option to change your code buddy, your best bet is to start looking for a new job. Complaining about your code-buddy would be one thing if he were male, but because she is female, it will be deemed sexist regardless of whether the code tells another story. It may not seem obvious to you, but your dream job is no longer your dream job. If it were, you wouldn't be posting the issue here. Time to find a new dream.

Simply say, "Sorry right now got stuff to do and can't manage the time to help you." You do your work. She does hers. And in your industry, unless it's purely work related, stay off social media or you're in deep yogurt. When she can't point the finger at anyone, management will see she's a liability and presto, she's fired.
