I've posted this many times on reddit, but I think it's a stern and timely reminder.

A few years ago and in my unenlightened years I was dating an unstable, unemployed, single mother. She was always keen to push the relationship forward quickly and introduced me to her child early, wanted to move in together etc etc. Most curiously, she wanted me to fuck her bareback from day 1, which I refused, always wore a jimmy and this became an issue for her.

My gut instincts were screaming at me to finish things with this trainwreck of a woman who brought nothing but a sea of troubles into my life. But everytime I tried to walk away she'd threaten to kill herself.

Maybe 6 months into the relationship she goes on the pill and announces that I didn't have to use condoms anymore. Something seemed off, I can't explain it... and I'd still use them most times.

About 6 weeks later I'm in the bathroom one day and her handbag is on the bench. I see the contraception pills and take a look because i don't know much about them. To my surprise, they were unopened and the date marked by the pharmacy was over a month ago!

I turned pale, confronted her and she said "I thought a child would be best for you, best for me and my daughter"..... WHAT THE FUCK????

I'd like to say that was the point I left her. But i endured 6 more months of awful behaviour until I finally pulled the pin, not caring if she killed herself or not this time.

If a girl says she's on the pill. Wear a jimmy.

If a girl says you don't need a jimmy. Wear a jimmy.

Better yet, get a vasectomy.

I was dating a girl in Seattle. She was a little crazy, but then all goth girls are, right? Stunningly hot though - totally worth it. She and I always used a condom when we had sex (my choice), and the sex and the relationship were both great. And then one day she told me she was late and thought she might be pregnant.

It should be noted here that I was much younger than I am now when this story took place. To most people that spent time with me I would have appeared very alpha: in the military, tall, fit, confident, and making pretty good money. But I was pretty beta and extremely blue pill.

I was devastated. I was planning on getting it of the military soon, but knew that if I had a kid I would have to stay in, and if you re-enlist once, you're half way to retirement, so you might as well just keep going. One minute you are 20 and your whole life it's in front of you. The next you are 40 and a life in the military had taken its toll.

It felt like my life was over. I wasn't even concerned about child support or alimony, I had no idea then. I didn't know how bad it was.

So I follow up on this with her the following weekend, like a man condemned... and she laughs about it. She just wanted to see how I'd react. She never actually thought she was pregnant. It was a fucking shit test, and in her mind I had passed, but in mine... well it was one of the first of many redpills in my life.

I broke up with her on the spot, and she couldn't understand why.

Today she had the kids by three father's and has had them taken from her at least once for drugs.

Not sure if it counts as tried to get pregnant, but here you go:

Girl that I was with was a mormon, and sorta chilly to premarital sex. She bailed on me to marry a guy that was a mormon so she could advance in the church. After about a year 'something' happens. She legit got beat up, like wound up hospitalized. Dude winds up in jail, and she files for divorce. The mormon stuff dictated they had to stay married a year and attend counseling to try to salvage it, but since he was incarcerated she just wound up with a year in married limbo. I was hanging with some mutual friends, she showed up, and was pushing for sex. That set off my 'Spider Sense' that something was up, her going from cold to hot like that. So I declined. Turns out she'd been having conjugal visits at the jail, wound up knocked up and didn't want to be a single mom which means being shunned for devout mormons.
