They cannot accept their looks when they're young have a lot to do with the roles and money they get. Even if a man is attractive to females he has to have a certain skill level as an actor to pull in the big bucks or he'll be typecast to action movies or shitty romance B grade movies, if that. lol

Morgan Freeman is getting decent money for movies because he can act and worked on his craft a long time. He had to pay his dues for a long time too before anyone really heard or took notice of him. You can grab any attractive woman off the streets and make her a movie star until she hits the wall.

It's ironic that females are such good actresses in real life, but rarely are their performances on screen believable, to me anyway.

That's because after a certain point the fakeup can't hide her lack of talent anymore. The reason men are so successful in Hollywood while women aren't is because men often go on to write, direct, produce, or establish different franchises. Women just sit on their ass and expect the money to just keep rolling in forever, only to find that Meryl Streep is stealing all the good roles because she worked at her craft and became a better actress as time went on instead of worse. Then instead of branching out to different skills, they scream discrimination and won't stop until a man steps in, hands them an empty Producer title that means nothing, and she calls it an achievement.

They just lump the three highest paid female stars salaries and the three highest paid male stars and claim a wage gap.

This doesn't delve into any objective drivers of the earnings. Did the men work movies (male actors typically do not take time off between movies and often times overlap filming schedules). Did it perhaps consider their box office appeal. Men like watching action movies and women like watching the alpha males (iron man, wolverine) in the action movies and therefore action movies claim a wider audience with more revenues.
