Here are some examples to get you all started:

  1. Went to a small store to pick up one thing, and my partner at the time knew that. She was with me, and when I went to the counter to pay, she loaded like $30 more of stuff onto the counter without asking. What I was buying was only like $15. She was hoping I'd just go ahead and pay for everything.

  2. We were at another store, and she went to buy something. Her credit card failed. I'm almost certain that her card was maxed out, and that she knew that. I think that she brought me along hoping that I'd just jump in and pay with my card.

Back then, I don't remember if I thought these were pre-planned, or just quick decisions or unplanned. After reading this group though, honestly, it wouldn't surprise me at all if these were known tricks, maybe ones that she got from other women, or learned from previous romantic relationships.
