Not going to happen, it's biology. A person can stop chasing for their own personal peace and mental well-being. But that's it.

That's 90% of youtube videos these days. Repetitive filler for the sake of more video.

How bout both. Perhaps psychological issues going back to childhood, and also their own poor judgment.

I've lost all faith in the FTC long ago. Long before social media apps they allowed the medical industry to become what it is, and that's been detrimental to the well being of America's population for a long time.

I miss when red pill was just a reference to a rad movie.

That's horrifying. Sorry to hear about that terrible boyfriend.

"Get better, lower your standards or get out of the way." Pretty sure that's what people are doing. If you were to completely disconnect from the internet for a month, you probably wouldn't run across any of this yapping.

Back before all the mgtow related subs got banned, it was pretty apparent to me that most of them were all toxic chronic complainers. There was one sub, however, that focused entirely on positivity and it was heavily moderated to that goal. I'd stop in from time to time, it was mostly pictures of traveling, hiking, general bachelor relaxation type of posts. A review of some whiskey or what not. Or mental health recovery type post. Then one day the mods must have left because I went back to it af…

I had it happen years ago. My trial at Match was ending, then on the final day a cutie "matched" or "showed interest" or whatever it's called. Dead account. Typical trick.

No it's 100%. Get yer facts straight, son. Mario, Kratos, Spidey, the Actraiser guy, the Dragon Quest guy, Link, they're all females who transitioned. Bowser was originally Bowsette (which is why it's super normal to be attracted to him and those luscious eyebrows). Been this way forever. Custer's Revenge never existed that's a liberal media lie.

Yeah. I have 1 friend i see once a month and it's fine. For you it is internal, which is ok. You're not bad or being complainy. It's just useful to understand the origins of your feelings.

Ok I'd like to make a second comment as a dad. I have kids of both genders and expected them all to work. No separate boys or girls tasks. We all had to keep the house in order, along with firewood, yard, outside work, etc. My ex wife was raised in a traditional religious conservative home and holy hell was she lazy. Even though they were poor she was still spoiled and expected everything to just magically happen for her without significant effort. So yeah, whiny princess. It got worse with age.…

Yeah life is peaceful single. When i was dating in my late 30s it just floored me how immature a lot of women were. They'd been in the adult world well over a decade but lived as babies. You know the pattern, complaining how broke they were but would spend money on frivolities instead of saving for necessities. Throwing fits. An adult having a big whiny mopey fit. Cmon. Now i understand there's plenty of man children like this as well so it seems like there was a lot of limp parenting that happe…

No memes in this sub. You'll have to go elsewhere for that trash.
/r/MGTOW231/01/21 01:26 PM

Ok this seems like a total trash post. But I'll indulge you and answer. Obviously incel. Simping waste time, energy, money. Sexuality is one tiny aspect of one's existence. You've got a very small amount of time to exist in this universe as a sentient being. Spending any of that on one-way relationships is incredibly foolish. I've been there done that. It's like giving money to a televangelist.

I think being in a western first world nation is pretty nice. All the problems I've dealt with due to being male could have been avoided by different choices and fighting against my desire for companionship. Marriage, dating drama, etc are all avoidable things. Idk, here in the USA, I wouldn't prefer to have been born black. I don't think being black or brown would have made my life easier. People on tv bitch about "white men", but if that's the extent of my oppression, pretty damn easy.

I don't remember the plot well but man, the atmosphere was fantastic. They just nailed it with both visuals and sound to give it that eerie sci fi vibe. A movie like that doesn't come along often.

Yeah i never use youtube for mgtow content anymore. I have the knowledge, I'm good. I do love using it for travel / scenery videos, music, and silly humor. And it's far easier to maintain a healthy work/life/stress balance when you're not contending with trying to appease a perpetually discontent "adult".

I can imagine. I'm also nostalgic for how exiting and simple things were when young. But it's ok. But one life skill that will help you enjoy existence more is to focus on appreciating simple things. There are a lot of simple pleasures we don't notice at all because they've been standard for generations. Reliable plumbing and electricity. Being able to be warm in winter and cool off in summer. Fruit and vegetables year round. Parks with trails that aren't infested with predators. Good stuff like…

You are correct, for the most part women are an endless money pit. Use the lessons from your childhood to avoid problems as an adult and live a peaceful and comfortable life. Also, learn to cook. It's a fun hobby and easier than it looks! First few meals may turn out terrible but keep practicing.

Cynical and tired. Prior to gmow i was a Christian fundamentalist for a while. I learned not to trust the right. Can't stand woke sjw nonsense though either. I lean left on many things, due to being a self employed working class guy. And since i deal with a lot of wealthy clients, i see the mindset many of them have first hand. Wealthy conservatives think of workers the same way as a moochy woman going through a divorce thinks of her husband.

Yeah men are expected to be the traditional breadwinner, in a time that it's hard to afford a tiny apartment. Govt is in worse debt than USA, etc etc.
/r/MGTOW208/12/20 05:14 PM

He seems to ramble on quite a bit using obscure terminology. I'm inherently cynical about self help gurus, pompous intellectuals, and the like. He seems to cling to a vision of magical traditionalism, like how a lot of conservatives imagine the "good ol' days".
/r/MGTOW208/12/20 05:09 PM

I encourage the use of sex toys. And a sex doll is just a bigger, better one. For some people it improves their quality of life, for others it's a waste of money and more hassle than it's worth. So you can't really do an across the board recommendation. But the use of these things isn't exclusive to men, or even single people. It's kind of like saying "a car might be useful to a mghow".
/r/MGTOW208/12/20 02:55 AM

You'll definitely be hearing from her when she needs help with moving or some shit like that. Make sure to not respond.

Sounds like you're doing well. Society is based on perpetual discontentment. If you're not pursuing additional... something... then they can't comprehend it. They think they're helping you. Like a cult member trying to recruit you. So just, "nah, I'm good" and go about your life.

Good cautionary tale. It's sad when a nice guy produces backstabbers and ends up subsidizing his own daughter's bad sexual choices.

One reason would be some people are just bullies who like to be assholes. I was an introverted and artistic kid, so of course i was bullied, harrased, physically assaulted, called a fag, etc. The best thing to do for yourself is to eliminate exposure to toxic people as much as possible. Users, abusers, endless arguers. There's the old saying, you can't fix stupid. That goes for assholery as well. Walk away.
/r/MGTOW229/11/20 12:50 PM

Well i guess not really, unless she's abusive towards him.
/r/MGTOW228/11/20 10:50 AM

I play with my dog. But seriously, i was an introvert to begin with. Going through a divorce, modern dating culture, and flaky ass "friends" have only encouraged that tendency. Maybe it's the shitty culture we live in, but it's rarely worth interacting with people more thsn necessary.
/r/MGTOW228/11/20 10:49 AM

Ok this sounds fake but anyway I'm going to say it's wrong to be disingenuous about why you're either getting into or staying in a relationship. Gold diggers and liars are bad across the board.
/r/MGTOW228/11/20 10:35 AM

Gatekeeping against yourself. Fun stuff. An incel can still go his own way by not spending mental energy and obsessing over relationships. Looking after your own mental health and wellbeing.
/r/MGTOW222/11/20 12:16 PM
2

Probably not a good idea. But i don't have experience with it, so look into people who have. Plenty of nightmare stories out there. But those were ones i heard about Russian brides.
/r/MGTOW221/11/20 11:52 PM
1

Just a shrug from me. Both the woman featured and the incel who (for some bizarre reason) follows her, are sorely mistaken about what makes a sentient existence worthwhile. She's making obnoxious shock statements for attention, like a hack comedian. And it certainly worked on the incels. They reposted, spread her name around. "Free publicity" blah blah blah. Incels REALLY like to mope. Posting "suifuel" nonsense. It's so weird.
/r/MGTOW221/11/20 01:29 PM

This sounds like something that has to happen organically. Just have to be various places, be decent to others, and find others who are genuinely decent back.

There is (was?) a mgtow lifestyle sub and also a mgtow therapy sub that were meant to be more specific and purposeful. The problem with side subs is that they don't get enough traffic to stay relevant and worth paying attention to. A sub that's too popular gets trashed, like a park with too much litter and homeless to manage. The best we can do is try to stay on point for the new guys browsing and hope for the best.

/r/MGTOW217/11/20 01:32 PM

Yes. The context is that men are expected to work harder, suffer in silence, take abuse, and provide resources for no benefit to themselves. With the sole reason being- you are male, you should. It is the opposite of equality. It's the same as saying a person should "negro up" and work for free so that the plantation owner can buy his gold digger belle a new carriage.
/r/MGTOW217/11/20 01:00 PM
2

I married a homeschooled Christian. End result was the same. The sense of entitlement is even larger among "traditional" (too lazy to be financially responsible) types. The feminist label is not relevant. Most people are of poor character and lack integrity.
/r/MGTOW217/11/20 12:40 PM

Had plenty in my 20s. I'm content being celibate til i die, if that's how the ball bounces. I'm kinda too old and know too much to really think it's a priority. I think I've already experienced maximum passion. It's like fondly remembering how awesome a drug high felt, but you know it'll cause you trouble to go back to it.

If it's a payout to women only then it sure wouldn't be universal. As a stealth monk mgtow, life can be easy enough. I think it'd be good to avoid a victim mentality and focus on whatever opportunities you do have to save and invest. America has bigger issues to deal with than gender conflict. Edit: onlyfans is a tax on idiots. Like gambling.
/r/MGTOW213/11/20 01:33 PM

If money isn't an issue, the biggest risk is having your child taken from your life. Say she turns mean, makes up some stuff about you, and then you get to rarely see your kid. That would be horrible. I don't know. There's enough accounts of sweetie pie turned revenge maniac to give me serious pause.
/r/MGTOW213/11/20 12:23 PM

For procrastination i break up a task into smaller tasks and then give myself a small break/ reward after each step. For your situation getting into an apprenticeship may be a better path than academics if you don't like that sort of thing .

Around age 40ish. So a few years now. All my experiences beat me over the head with the idea that relationships are not worth it and always result in a loss, one way or another. Sanity, money, opportunities, freedom, etc. Reading mgtow content verified i didn't just have unusually bad luck, it's a common occurrence.
/r/MGTOW204/11/20 11:20 AM

This is a great cautionary tale for anyone browsing. They can and will turn sour and vindictive overnight. Especially the ones who are fun and sexy and exciting at the beginning.

Heed this guy's advice. Very similar to my experiences.

Hey could be worse, you didn't get her pregnant! A number of guys in mgtow gathering spots have been through crazy relationships. So we know how it goes. I'm done with romance too. The stress of it has probably taken yeeears off of my life. The peace and sanity feels so good. Not having to deal with crazy bullshit when you want to chill in your own home is super valuable.
/r/MGTOW230/10/20 11:16 PM

I say think of it as temporary and keep packing that money away. Going to be an economic crash soon so you can buy some cheap stocks, property, whatever and then not have to work in the future. Of course not working gets boring too.
/r/MGTOW226/10/20 01:22 PM

Grew up in a wealthy family ----> discontent with everything. Pretty common process. Also if she was pretty / popular AND smart when young... damn, that's a recipe for a pain in the ass. Especially if her dad treated her like a precious little princess.
/r/MGTOW226/10/20 01:10 PM

Everybody my age is well into the divorce era of their lives. Nobody posts pictures of that.
/r/MGTOW225/10/20 10:02 PM

I'd think better with age. Your hormones calm down, and you have less bullshit tolerance with time. Henpecked men in late middle age look freakin' MISERABLE. I bet they wish they could just chill in a one bedroom apartment and be happy instead of life in a pretentious mcmansion. Of course, many guys who are married in their 30s DO end up single and lonely later on. Just much poorer and more distraught than they would have been otherwise.
/r/MGTOW225/10/20 09:20 PM

Ok. Best of luck with the next marriage.

Yeah but a person's "heart belonging to Jesus" means jack squat now. Divorce is a big cash payout now and look at the results. Jesus can't compete with some $$$, new dick, and ego stroking.

Good luck with that. See you later.

Ehhhhhh. Religious feelings don't do anything to keep women loyal. Maybe it's one more mental hurdle they have to jump to justify adultery, but most are willing to.

I'm about the same age as you, went through a divorce 10 years ago, and would periodically spend months separated from my children. I also took a lot of different medications for depression, so there's that. Being encouraged by positive mgtow content can help shift perspective. Also embracing the good parts of solitude. And once the whole covid thing is done with, maybe find some volunteer opportunities? And of course getting used to being off medication takes time so don't stress yourself.

It is amazing how that one shift in mindset can be a huge weight off of your shoulders.

Interesting topic of discussion. In my current form, I'm content and happy with my life. If i were one of those guys paying alimony to an adulterer and child support to a kid that wasn't mine, I'd take the jump and be a woman in an alternate reality. But mostly it depends on the family and circumstances you are born into.
/r/MGTOW221/10/20 11:58 PM

Indeed. I had been married to a homeschooled Christian girl. Had 3 kids. She caused me an enormous amount of stress. Then at 30 she has a mid life crisis. BAM, off searching for new dick. Yeah, stay single kid.

Absolutely. As i phrased it to myself a while ago "to maintain mental health, you have mentally separate yourself from the expectations of normal society." I'm tempted to go on another rant about modern society/economics is structurally designed to make us perpetually feel not good enough and discontent. But I'll end it here.

Upon reading the Bible i found the Christian god to be angry, arbitrary, and capricious. Like an alcoholic who gushes about how they love you but then flies off the handle over random nonsense. Makes sense since the old gods (who were later adapted into monotheistic religions) were based on the unpredictable and dangerous forces of nature. My peace of mind has improved considerably since rejecting those ideas. I don't use intoxicants these days, by choice. I use logic, science, and good old fash…

Ok i knew this would draw criticism. American health care is predatorily priced. There is no, and will not be, any "free market" for it as you can die rapidly without it. A gun to your head type of situation. An equally nonsense thing for me to say would be that ALL roads and highways should be expensive toll roads. Imagine regular working people and small businesses trying to deal with that situation. A functional society needs public infrastructure. Build your own highways, you liberal moocher…

Talking to her is not going to bring closure. You need to maintain no contact. A nice clean break. And move on with your own life. It's important to understand she was never a "part" of your life. She didn't complete you. You were always separate entities that temporarily bumped into each other. As for why it ended, it's natural. In general women quickly grow discontent with relationships, marriages, shoes, purses, houses, etc. Many basically break up for sport. Just a fact of nature.

As a kid i thought tattoos were badass and rad. I grew out of that pretty quickly in adulthood. Seeing middle aged single mom posts on Facebook is telling. Every so often you'll see some "i need another tatto! Whee!" Type of post. In between posts whining about money problems and "inspirational" crap and whatnot. It's sad and cringey and a great reminder of how valuable bachelor life is.

I married a homeshooled Christian girl. Had 3 kids, marriage lasted about 13 years. I lucked out in the extreme that due to very unusual circumstances i had my kids 2/3 of the time post divorce. Still had to pay over $80,000 to get rid of her. But at least no alimony or child support and i didn't end up homeless or in jail. Yeah of course she had a mid life crisis and found a new guy. It's what women do. In all likelihood it will end worse for most guys. If that sounds great to you, go for it.

I'm an introvert by nature. But do also occasionally feel lonely. We don't really have a sense of community anymore. Everything in life, aside from close family, is just a series of economic transactions. Maybe it always was. The most irritating thing is how standard women always love to TALK about how emotionally supportive they are. "Love, devotion, forever" blah blah blah. If the give to take ratio gets anywhere NEAR 50% they bolt. A lot of men are driven over the edge by the emotional roller coaster and unscrupulous nature of women. Sometime you should ask him if he's really happy with living life on her terms. Might make him take a step back and think about things for a moment. Maybe.... Sounds like he got stuck in a cult.

"Individual striving against the odds" seems like such a popular theme i can't imagine it just disappeared. Perhaps it is the nostalgia talking. Often when people say "there isn't any good X anymore" the reality is they aren't looking in the right places. Or perhaps the person is just being determinedly negative, and won't enjoy anything new regardless. There were cool things in the 80s, but i recall a lot of people being assholes as well. I don't have any romanticism towards hyper individualism…

R/mgtow was overall too toxic for me. And yeah you're right a lot of mgtow / red pill / etc. are just generally critical and mean spirited. They'll do the "I'm just helping men see the error of their ways/ telling it like it is" line, but really just tearing into others to make themselves feel better by comparison. Probably raised in a toxic environment. The old mgtow.com forums were similar. Had a few too many hostile alt right jerks to be worth sorting through the posts.

Sounds likely. I hated waking up and existing for a while. Suffered through an episode of major depression from about age 27 to 37. The only time i felt good was drifting off to sleep. People say things like "do something fun!" "snap out of it" and "just be happy it's a choice" but are clueless. Anyway if you have questions, I'm around.

Not much you can do at this point. Unless she throws a giant fit during a fight and you can talk some sense into him during a brief moment of clarity. Hey thanks i appreciate it. Many moons ago i was part of a Christian sect that had the whole "you were bought with a price, now everything must be done for a purpose for god" and all that noise. It mostly causes misery and stress. Having stepped far away from all that, i also see people can have a secular version of the same mindset. You sound young, with the intensity that comes with that. I'm about halfway through my life, assuming all goes well. I've found that the best memorable momemts of happiness didn't happen "on purpose" so to speak. Good conversations with friends or relatives don't happen on a schedule. They happen organically, when relaxed. Life isn't a list of check boxes of material, superficial goals. When you're old and looking back, those won't matter as much as the fun goofy memories that happen on accident…

It's human nature to one up each other. Sometimes fun and energizing. May lead to nuclear holocaust. But "ambition" and "success" seem to be defined, i don't know, toxic ways. To me, perpetual discontentment isn't ambition and success isn't defined by frivolous spending and living your life for the corporate machine. I've also seen the results of always trying to take it as easy as possible, and it's depressing. Broke stoners who certainly aren't relaxed and happy when bills are due.

"Love" is used pretty loosely. In the moment people feel certain things but really biology is just driving us to a conclusion. Women really want to extract resources. Men really want to spread their genes. Since we have the curse/gift of consciousness all these layers get added on top of it. Kind of like religion. We have the instinct to stay alive and the fear of death, so over the years people added story on top of story to assuage that fear (and make some bucks off of shmucks.)

Nothing shameful in losing virginity to an escort. She's more like an honest short term girlfriend with less drama and complaining. But I'm an atheist. She was infatuated with me at first, but became discontent once she realized what i was doing. I maintained my "me time" and independence. Even if they don't act entitled to your money, they feel like you are obliged to give them all your free time. Then once i heard of mgtow, it fit like a glove.

It's nice to see a variety of responses. Honestly the nonsense from the right has pushed me further left. Not the anti free speech sjw left, but regarding economic issues. Companies and the wealthy will become the default dictators if you allow it.

Luckiest break of your life was when that church girl dumped you. No doubt she would have cheated and you would have ended up divorced, after a kid or two.

So many great responses here. I can't really add much other than to also say that YOU are the one to determine your self worth. And i also have dealt with moochy women from crazy families. The only good ending to that situation is to escape and don't look back. It only gets better from here. Unless you get sucked into another draining relationship again. (And all of mine ended up being draining, YMMV but watch your back. )

Great post, OP. We are taught that to have a "complete" life you must have a significant other in it, that you are paired up with. And for some people this works out well. But it is very true that "you can't have it all". If you put the time energy and commitment into one thing, there are many OTHER paths you can't take. It would have been a real shame if my divorce hadn't happened, as i wouldn't have had the freedom and opportunity i have now, even factoring the money I lost. Begone thot indeed…

Well that's just how newbies are. Especially young people, who are more concerned about what a social group thinks. I avoid the subject completely irl, unless it is with a close bro who is dealing with the same problems I've dealt with in the past. "Are you seeing anyone special?" "Oh I'm too busy for dating" or jokingly- "I'm too old for that!"

Don't worry about the negative responses here, we're all at different stages in life. Sounds like you took the first step towards happiness. The dating game is the shittiest game there is. In my 20s i spent a bit of time as a Christian fundamentalist cultist, with no tv, movies, video games, etc. I learned from the experience. And that taking that sort of abstinence to the extreme does no good whatsoever. Guys in their 20s seem to be extreme about things. I'll take 40 over 20 any day, aside from my aches. I consider divorce rape an apt term. I never consented to giving away $100,000. Based upon the marriage vows which she so enthusiastically spoke, it was never to be an option. Edit, upon rereading your post it doesn't sound like you know what "divorce rape" is referring to. It's the act of having your hard earned resources forcibly taken from you due to an unfaithful, lying woman. It's nothing about sex.
/r/MGTOW224/01/19 03:32 PM

There is the one in a few million chance a marriage works out well enough. But I'm not the kind of guy to pay $100,000+, plus my freedom and sanity, for a lottery ticket. Well, she's probably 1/4 the weight of most women her age. So there's that.

You know, around the 5 year mark things seem to get better. I got divorced 8+ years ago. Jeez what a gigantic drain women are. Don't get roped in again!
/r/MGTOW203/01/19 06:07 PM

I just want to congratulate you on all the progress you've made. Dealing with a breakup of a long term relationship is painful as hell, and antidepressant withdrawal is no joke. Doing good, man. That's a major hurdle, a personal mt Everest. As far as weight, you can have all of my fat that you want, but I'm sure some of the guys here can chime in with good diet advice.
/r/MGTOW203/01/19 05:37 PM

I wonder how old that picture on the far right is.
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen03/01/19 04:35 PM

"Any experiences?".... actually, ALL my relationship experiences with women. Endless grand statements of love and devotion at the beginning, and then, POOF, all gone. They are quick to demand loyalty and devotion, yet never genuinely offer it in return. It's all a ruse.
/r/MGTOW201/01/19 12:06 AM

Same ol story. Man, are they ever stupid.
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen28/12/18 11:40 AM

Haha. Thanks for the link. Yeah people kinda know deep down that you shouldn't really trust skanks, can't turn a ho into a housewife and all that. "Don't judge me by my past" is the most hilarious bullshit.

I've seen idiots like this. They say they have "wanderlust", but it's just that they're perpetually discontent with wherever they are, and are willing to bury themselves in debt to cater to their flakiness.

Ha ha, "worth the effort" I mean, this profile looks fake, but a lot of women do think along those lines. Like it's a privilege to let them mooch off of you.

You partly described just growing up and seeing the world for how it is. There is a Mark Twain quote about if you're a pessimist before 40 you know too much, and if you're an optimist after 40 you know too little. Something like that.

I kinda felt the same way in my 30s. Aside from the other advice. Do more interacting with old people. Maybe in a nursing home or something. Some of them have perspective, some don't. But it will add something to your life.

Well, not me. I'm guessing most of the guys here who voted for him did so for lack of better options. Although at the mgtow.com forums enough members were crowing about his election as a "victory for men" that i had to take a break from it. I'm a blue collar guy. An arrogant billionaire with a history of scamming people and repeatedly marrying golddiggers is not someone I'd support.

I would assume relationship insecurity is on the rise, as we have transitioned to total sexual anarchy. Anyone foolish enough to be in a relationship SHOULD feel insecure. Like a swimmer with sharks circling them.

Fellow divorced man, here. The pain of betrayal cuts deeeeep. And we weren't just betrayed by our ex wives, we were betrayed by society and the culture as a whole. So many lies. I suffered from a deep depression for about a decade. Ultimately, it takes time. Also, to be sane and happy in an insane and corrupt world, you have to really separate yourself mentally from society. What that entails probably varies for each person. And of course all the usual mental health recommendations apply, nutrit…

Never visited twitch. Probably never will. Watching other people play video games needs to be done in a living room with a group of friends and doritos. That's it. And i sure as hell ain't PAYING people to sit on their asses playing games. I mean, i would pay to see a dog win at fortnite. But only in the form of snausages. That being said, living with tourettes can't be easy, so good for anyone who can make lemonade out of lemons.

Haha. I hear ya. I had a lunch with relatives and am now having all evening to myself. It's great. Peaceful holidays are fantastic. I used to spend holidays visiting either my wife's or girlfriend's relatives, and it's a lot more fun this way. Watch the news and see all those people dealing with horrible traffic. That could be you, man. Me and my doggie ftw.

It's natural to want romantic love, but it just never lasts long, and is delusional and self destructive to alter one's life in any way to try to pursue it.
/r/MGTOW221/11/18 05:27 PM

That sounds about right. There are pockets of relative freedom and peace that show up in history from time to time. Enjoy them while they last.

Honestly, I've lost hope in truly good government reform. Republicans are on your side if you've recently donated large sums to their campaign funds. Or have a sweet lobbying job lined up for them when they are done with their term. That's about it. Libertarians i can respect, but i don't think the end result will be much better. Our lives would be run by corrupt companies instead of corrupt politicians. I trust Democrats as much as i trust Republicans. Basically whoever can kick the can down th…

I'm guessing universal credit is some new trial version of universal basic income. First of all, single motherhood is a guarantee of poverty, and people should actually put EFFORT into avoiding being in that situation. Of course, suggesting either loyalty to the father or just keep one's legs closed are both oppressive misogyny. Second, no government imaginable can afford to mitigate the economic effects of the breakdown of the family. Third... so there was absolutely no other cash work she coul…

I didn't read the whole story either but i will tell you this-- These enticing, sexy women who pop in and out of your life are ABSOLUTE POISON and will only cause problems and damage. I had one like that. The only good thing to do is cut ties with her 100%. No contact, nothing. Block all communication wherever it is technologically possible. Anything else and you are guaranteeing future regret.

Yeah tattoos and such used to be a rare, "radical" thing. But everyone now thinks they're super unique, awesome, and should be a star, and everyone needs to seeeeee meeeeeeee. It's gotten beyond cliche / cheesy at this point. ESPECIALLY people who think their tattoos are soooo meaningful and have some sort of philosophical value.

I regained my hobbies, even while my children were young. I incorporated my kids into my hobbies. My ex wife did, however, manage to alienate me from all but 1 of my old friends. I can't speak for other Americans, but my only "tribe" is close family. I've learned not to trust anyone else. Church people's friendship is the most conditional "love" I've experienced.

It could all be true. We'll never know. We focus on female behavior here by default, but make no mistake there are plenty of men who are complete pieces of shit. I've met a few. These are the guys who get laid and promoted. Able to put on a convincing (and often loud) false front.
/r/MGTOW07/11/18 06:16 PM

That does sound like a terrible, but standard, date. Unless you are one of the very small % of guys women just throw themselves at, any other leisure activity you can do is far better than a date.

They want to avoid looking too controversial. Imagine if a Christian church really followed through on the bible's teachings about women being silent in church, etc. They'd be unmarketable to the masses. Same with MRAs

I haven't voted Republican since W. After that 8 year downward spiral, you'd be hard pressed to get me to give them another chance. And after seeing what Democrats have done with California and Illinois.... sigh.... Maybe I'll vote for a pile of turds.

I don't believe in some big conspiracy theory. It's just humans doing what they do. Civilizations rise and fall. I did adapt. And we'll all die. Enjoy it before you kick the bucket.

He did it for the life insurance money. Wacky religious fundamentalists are manipulative, evil, completely selfish people. Like islamic fundamentalists who send young men to go do a suicide bombing, but never themselves.... Every negative thing about female personality is enhanced among fundamentalist religious leaders, whether male or female. It's one thing i noticed from personal experience. I'll have to do a thread on it sometime.

The sexual revolution is what threw everything out of whack. It just took a little time to get to this point. Video games are just an enjoyable hobby do distract oneself with when the pursuit of companionship has become far more trouble than it's worth. As if the existence of quality electronic entertainment is going to make men less horny.

Exactly. Talk of mental health for men is just a virtue signaling distraction. Like putting a yellow ribbon on your car or telling a suicidal person "help is available, don't give up, here have a hotline number..." Fucking useless. Just tell me to bash my head against the wall. Like "thoughts and prayers"
/r/MGTOW24/10/18 05:24 PM

I noticed that. I recieved about a decade of mental health treatment, and one of the key things was "are you able to go to work, are you functional". If you tell them it's interfering with your ability to get work done, then they take it more seriously. Internal misery is secondary. Looking back, it's scary how truly alone men are. If Medicaid hadn't been paying for the treatment, it would have been an additional kick in the balls. Society truly wants us to be slaves. Thats to be expected with g…

Because mental health for men is important only when they're unable to provide tax money and labor for women and the oligarchy. Treatment (aka pills and talking) is intended just to get men out and working again. The actual quality of life isn't important, as they don't dare get to the root of the issue.

If we hadn't driven up so much debt this probably wouldn't even be an issue. Automation can replace a lot of workers and land is overpriced right now. There would be opportunities to be had in a more efficient, cleaner, America. But not when the government/ economic system is a ponzi scheme.

It takes time, distance, and perspective. Remembering that it's not that you weren't "good enough", it's that they're perpetually discontent. It'll happen. You know, when i turned 30 i felt like my life had already gone on way too long and i wanted this shit to be over with. When i turned 40 i felt like the fun had just begun and i was looking forward to what remained of my life. Time changes your perspective on things. If anything i'm more "alone" now than at 30. I just enjoy it now.

In my experience the apathy regarding one aspect of life (romantic relationships) gradually got replaced by interests in other things. To the point that i wonder how did i ever have the time and energy for pursuing such nonsense or even think it was important. Don't try to force it. It happens naturally. Imagine being a jehovah's witness and come to the realization it's crap. A person is probably going to feel empty and depressed for a bit. But eventually recover and live a more genuinely fulfil…

If MGTOW is part of Jewish conspiracy (and really, what isn't these days?), why is ol' Noseberg pushing a BLUE pill at the viewer? Wouldn't it be red? Some bad graphic design there.

I know nice guys in their 70s and 80s. They had their successful careers, lifelong marriages, and raised their kids. It's an almost extinct paradigm. But i mean nice, but also men. The sort of wimpy sniveling simps feminism demands is a different thing. The option of being nice but also in a man role is kind of gone, when to also expect decent, helpful behavior from a woman is misogynistic. I'm rambling again. The option is gone now. And it only worked well for a few guys in the old days anyway.
/r/MGTOW08/10/18 04:44 PM
1

Not really. After the last gf i was tired of the hassle, and thought-- i think I'll take a break from dating until after my own kids are out of the house. But I've grown accustomed to the peace and freedom. I'm definitely no chad, and never even tried to be a pua. So unless i get into a full on relationship I'm not likely to get laid by anyone near my standards. If others would consider that incel i take no offense, nor do i care what category I'm in. Nothing wrong with people who are incels.
/r/MGTOW08/10/18 03:51 PM
1

Also regarding the "wanting to die" part, it's all a matter of perspective. If you feel like you're "missing out" then you'll probably be sad. If you feel like you're avoiding a huge hassle with minor diminishing benefit, you'll be like yeah, this fleshlight sure is handy.
/r/MGTOW08/10/18 02:58 PM

A lonely guy who was brainwashed into thinking being a nice guy will gain you affection. It's extremely cringey, but i feel sorry for these guys as i had the same mindset most of my life. These are the guys who commit suicide when the serious red pill lessons of life smash down their throats. They need MGTOW more than anybody but would probably fight hardest against it.

No fap? I've been using "monk mode" wrong all along.
/r/MGTOW07/10/18 11:25 PM

Totally. Monk mode for 2 years I'd guess. Never felt better. I fap when i feel the need. I'm also 40, so that helps. Sex just isn't a focus of my existence. I have other things to do. I don't know how i even fit relationships into my life before. No wonder i was so stressed out. Edit: does monk mode mean no whacking it? I thought it just meant avoiding contact with women.

Ok they're not robots at all. Aside from that, all these sex DOLL brothel bannings are great free advertising for doll sellers. A lot of people are not aware how much better dolls look compared to 10 years ago, and at much better prices. Also, it enters the public consciousness, for men at least, that hey, there's an alternative out there. The standard thing will be for guys to make fun of them outwardly, but inside be thinking, damn, those things are hot, and without all the bullshit.
/r/MGTOW06/10/18 02:04 PM

Dammit that's a great analogy, I'm going to use that.
/r/MGTOW05/10/18 02:10 PM

Nothing original about blue hair and a toy skull. Making a big outward appearance of how "unique" you are is like a person being all loud and boisterous about how deep and philosophical they are.

I've known men with similar situations. Their wife ran up enormous debts on idiotic purchases, then they got divorced. These guys make almost twice what i do, but will probably never be out of debt. Sad situation. They just did the "good man" thing of marrying and working hard and being honest and supportive. It got them nothing but pain, punishment, and betrayal. This is what marriage is these days.

Yeah i do accept it. It's how it's always been. Hence the growing sex doll market.

Nailed it on the head, dude. Only way to have peace of mind anymore is to go do your own thing and not give a fuck what happens to America anymore. Pay as little taxes as possible and avoid society. As with "only winning move is not to play", only mental peace comes through not caring.

Back when i had girlfriends, yes 100%. They always find SOMETHING to complain about, and 9 times out of 10, that is going to be YOU. Being in a relationship just gives them something to focus their negativity ON.

It's annoying whispering, based on my YouTube search.
/r/MGTOW25/09/18 10:08 PM

Yes. Yes it is. It's also oppressive patriarchal misogynistic abuse to expect monogamy and decent behavior while in a relationship. Don't even think about suggesting that equality means they should pay their own bills.

At the end of the day, as long as I'm MGTOW, that's all that matters. I'd prefer this ponzi scheme of a civilization keeps chugging along until well AFTER i die. Collapse isn't going to benefit any MGTOW. Hiding in plain sight will.

Any relationship advice forums that aren't overtly red pilled are going to view anything we say as hate speech. Long before i heard of MGTOW i participated in a relationship forum (enotalone) and after a while got the feeling the whole thing was like a group of sheep or a cult that kept saying men should just keep trying to give women whatever they wanted and should jump through all these hoops and be a dancing monkey to try to appeal to them. Not worth the effort. Unfortunately your kids are involved with her so you have to deal with her. But convincing her of how awful she is would be pointless. If you do succeed, she will just be angry at you for exposing this truth to her, and will seek revenge on you for that. If there's one thing women love doing, it's exacting revenge for percieved wrongs.

Having a girlfriend only creates the ILLUSION of companionship. She's never really "got your back", unless you mean reaching for your wallet. One may not feel lonely in the honeymoon phase of a new relationship. In contrast one feels horribly lonely shortly after a break up. The REALITY, though, is that one was equally "alone" in both situations. The only difference is which act the girl was putting on at the time.
/r/MGTOW22/09/18 02:32 AM

Being married in one's 40s must be pretty awful. Your wife has lost her looks and youthful exuberance long ago, and you realize that the decisions that led to your current prison were driven by your now-diminished sex drive. No time is ever really YOURS on the weekends or evenings, no matter how difficult work was. And doing all that work is pointless anyway since your "better half" spends money faster than you can earn it.

I once dated a hot girl who considered herself an "empath" (she was into astrology, another red flag). She was ultimately the most selfish, demanding, greedy cunt i was ever in a relationship with. But yet delusionaly thought she was a super caring kindhearted person. Therein lies the difference. Genuine empathy leads to kind ACTIONS. Being SENTIMENTAL and EMOTIONAL are not empathy. Everybody tells you solitude it bad. These are also the same people that say marriage is a good idea. I was depressed and lonely for quite a while post divorce. Women are often useless moochers, both financially and emotionally. And GENUINE male friends are well nigh impossible to find. Once i embraced solitude, i became happier. Had my first gf at 17. Coulda done without that mess. You're not missing out on anything. It's like drugs, feels really good temporarily and then creates enormous problems and regrets later.

I have had (too much) experience with Christian fundamentalists. And yes, if they can't bully and dictate other people's lives, it's a bunch of squawking about the war on christianity. SJWs are somehow even more annoying and stupid. At least young earth creationists put effort into pretending to be scientific. This make up a gender crowd is even sillier.

It was an illusion. I grew up in 80s and 90s. I understand missing the warm comfort of the promise of a genuinely good romantic relationship and happy family. But it's like losing one's faith in god or miracles. Maybe a rough adjustment, but only after that point can you create your own pleasant little life while also existing in the real world. Conversely, if you believe the fantasy, you will make your real life miserable and be disappointed.

I don't know if people will gradually "wise up". Seems to me people want to keep going with their stupidity until some big catastrophe. Then somebody smarter rebuilds and it starts again.

Lol, a lot of things are fuckable for me. Still wasn't attractive though. I gave the old saying of, "you should date a person for their personality" a try. Kind of like dating a hot girl with a terrible personality. One aspect can't make up for the other.

I did and she was nice to me. Still eventually became a complainer who wanted to turn me into a beta, so of course it didn't last. But while it lasted she was pretty good to deal with.

There's not much to censor. It's a basic idea based on logic. If all our memories were erased and all MGTOW content destroyed, it would just pop up again under a different name. And probably a better acronym.

Well, I DO charge a toll in exchange for a boy's soul. So there's that. But if you do manage to stay loyal to your husband, and keep a nice home, and make a good pair, kudos to you.

Shitty dad. Shitty girlfriend. Poor guy is going to have lots of issues from this. I'm not surprised at the girls behavior at all. At this point I've seen they have a justification for anything, and have no impulse control. It's the dad I'm disappointed with. She says he's "protective" of her. That asshole should be protective of is son.

A good buddy of mine is going through a divorce. And ALL he can friggin talk about is getting the next woman. I try to enlighten him a bit, but he can't help himself. He was always desperately thirsty for pussy, the whole time I've known him. It'll keep making him miserable. He says he wants to still believe finding love is possible, and doesn't want to become "bitter" like me. In this case, ignorance is not bliss. Edit: oh yeah, how i react-- just patience and support. Counterproductive? Anything than informs young men of the harsh reality they face is productive. Exposing shit is smelly. But it is going to be the main function of any MGTOW online gathering place. There are plenty of other forums about hobbies, bodybuilding, finances, etc. To expect a MGTOW forum to NOT do it's one unique function is illogical and just silly. It's why they don't allow tone policing and concern trolling. And yeah, all the memes are getting stupid. But you take the good with the…

Absorb any information from anywhere that seems useful, and then analyze and critique it yourself. There seems to be the set "standard" things mental health professionals say (I've talked with a number of them) so you can probably find any of the advice they would give on mainstream websites or books.

Well said, OP. I became an adult during that time, and there was no good guidance. My parents knew only the right thing to do in the old world they inhabited. And they were quite old fashioned for their time. Email was a new, weird thing when i was 18. I was married well before YouTube existed, or at least before I knew about it. No warnings whatsoever of what would befall me.

Gotta transcend basic intincts/thinking if you want to TRULY enjoy life. Just look at incels. Those whiners think only within the context of normal societal expectations and values, and they're miserable. I guess nature wants one to be miserable if you're not spreading your genes and "winning" in that sense. Gives you motivation to work towards vain pursuits. Ha. Fuck nature. I'm not falling for that anymore.

The majority of the increase in suicides in recent years is due to middle aged white men. Likely due to divorce rape and economics. But the media and mental health professionals don't ever get to the core of the issue. At most they talk about need for men to have more access to "mental health services" (which are generally useless). It isn't for lack of pills and talking that men are killing themselves. And any new government program to "help" suicidal men would likely just be a handout to pharm…

Yes. Both the govt and culture encourage women to be just plain bad people. Little girls grow up within this cultural context and the rotten way of thinking is cemented in. It pisses a person off, but eventually you learn to not care what happens to this civilization as it rots away. It is what it is.
