Well, if you loved your wife, I expect you would want her to be happy after you died. As long as she didn't whore out two weeks after you died and gave it a year or so before dating, sounds reasonable.

Not really, no. I would tend to look at this in terms of Marriage 1.0, in which widows (and widowers) seeking to remarry was extremely common. There's a reason the old vows were "'til death do us part" and not "until the day that I die."

Acknowledging the world for what it really is (ie swallowing TRP) also means acknowledging that someone who's lost a spouse, particularly at a younger age, is going to need to eventually remarry for reasons both economic and sexual.

Besides if you're dead and gone, it's not like she's being disloyal to you in remarrying, particularly if she's garnering extra resources to help raise your kids by doing so.
