The people who make such claims do not understand Mgtow. Mgtow is about breaking away from the drive to impress women or to be enslaved by them. Granted an undesirable mgtow will find this to be a bit easier to accomplish.

After all Mgtow is about breaking free and going your own way, the constant here is breaking free from female control/drive to want to be around them.

There's this rather famous Reddit post by a woman in one of the relationship subs written by a woman who was dating this guy, decent looking guy, but didn't work, pretty much stayed at home most of the time, didn't have a job and drive a fairly crappy car. She dumped him and was rather surprised that he didn't seem to upset about her leaving, she was under the impression that she was the best thing in his life. A few weeks later, she finds out that he's actually a multi-millionaire, but kept secret that to himself, and now she's mad that she gave up her meal ticket.

The point is, women find money, fame, and power FAR more attractive than looks.

Looks come and go, and are completely subjective anyway. If you don't have the traits a chick is interested in (height for example)... There is nothing you can do about it, completely out of your control.

Fame is a complete lottery, you either get it or you don't. (Well... Good fame anyway, it's real easy to become famous for wrong reasons)... Again, completely out of your control.

Power also has it's limitations on the types of women who will take interest in you. Work hard enough, and you might become the hamburger king of Chicago... And all the vegans will hate you for it.

Which leave money... The great equalizer. Look at all the 80 year old millionaire men walking around with 20 year old silicon filled Barbi dolls. They aren't there because of his looks.

And let's face it, you'll have more money being single than being in a relationship. And that money, will attract more women than any of the above traits combined.

If you keep your finances to yourself, ya... The hot women won't want you, but guess what, if your MGTOW, you don't want them either.

It's a win-win situation.

MGTOW isn't really about whether or not women want you. 80/20 rule. Even alphas get fed up with feminism and female behavior, they just ignore the 30 somethings and go for the teenagers.

Nearly every guy on this forum could get a woman if they wanted to. It's just not safe to do so and the cost benefit ratio is not attractive. Then there is female nature to compound the problem, for those that understand their predatory nature, they are that much more unattractive. To each their own though. People become MGTOW before they have heard of the title. This sub is more about documenting what is happening rather than organizing it. We are not brought together by a series of beliefs, but experiences. Our arriving at MGTOW is highly individualistic and if this sub were to die, if the content from the internet would disappear, it would only be recreated again and again.

Not true. There are far more, not very hot, women out there than hot. The Chads are only interested in the hot chicks, therefore, there is a shitload of women that are not going to have men approaching them. That's going to be a huge problem going forward. Government needs to retract all laws pertaining to relationships and casual sex as well as making divorce a 50% split of assets acquired during the marriage and no alimony.

Incorrect. I'm not in the nobody-wants-me group, I'm more in the I-don't-want-anybody group. I've felt insecure and weird about that for years (even thought I might be asexual for a while), getting into a relationship here or there that felt like it might work out and I'd be normal. MGTOW removed the insecurity and the (what seemed like) paranoia that I was having that relationships are just a bad deal and not everything society makes them out to be. My family line will die with me and I perfectly happy with that now.

MGTOW taught me it's ok not to play the game.

In the case of guys who can't get any, knowing they can quit the game, and that they're not alone in that aspect, is immensely helpful.

We're free to continue to ignore each other.

Entitlement is a dangerous, childish drug. The only antidote to it is being able to self-reflect, to know yourself (gnothi seauton, "know thyself", as the ancient philosophers taught us), and to not fall prey to the traps of deserving stuff. If you do, going your own way and rejecting the "vagina imperative" is easy as breathing, because in a sense, it becomes part of what you are.

I disagree with the view in the original post. Instead, I don't see how a person doesn't go MGTOW sooner or later if women don't like them.

What is the alternative? Keep chasing women that don't like them and therefore wasting their time? Should they keep being miserable, trying and failing?

If they go MGTOW, at least they have an explanation for it all becoming a game that it often has become. A guy may not have what he originally wanted out of life, but maybe he now believes that that never existed for him anyway. I think it takes a lot of the sting away to at least feel like you understand why things are the way that they are.

You might think that doesn't matter because it's just how a person feels, but that makes a big difference in quality of life, to feel good and not be chasing after things that one very well may never have.

Also, don't forget about better use of one's time and money. For example, not spending money on dating websites, or things meant to impress women, or paying for dinner on dates. Time that would otherwise be wasted can be spent working and earning money that can be invested, or spending money on things that the guy can enjoy, instead of throwing it away, spending on women who are not really interested. Or learn how to do things, and become a more skilled and useful person.

This leads into the question about the MGTOW endgame. I'd like this to be a bigger topic.

Option A: do our own thing and watch the world burn.

Option B: leverage MGTOW to effect epic societal change. More equity in partners, more monogamy, less hypergamy (male and female) etc. Example: societal expectation that couples swap their phones every single day so they don't have secrets. Example: single mothers receive societal shame unless the father died in war, etc. Example: ban abortion and limit the birth control pill.

I think there is definitely mix of opinions here on these two. Option B gets shouted down on this subreddit and I wish it could be openly talked about.

The obvious response is, go somewhere else to talk about Option B. OK, where, exactly?
