To start things off, I want to say I'll probably end up catching some shit for this, and that's fine. I just felt I wanted to speak my mind, and offer some perspective.

I've been "MGTOW" for a while now. Before I knew what the acronym meant, I focused on myself for a couple years and didn't date. Without getting into crazy detail, I was in the process of healing from some pretty heavy betrayal from a chick I knew and my heart was in pieces. I think that's how most of us have started off leading up to where we are now.

Speaking about women, and our experiences with them, as well as referencing brutal public stories of men being screwed beyond repair by the courts or even killed by women, we generalize for many reasons, and some of those reasons aren't unfounded. I feel that the behavior and mentality of most modern women is very predictable and expected to those who can look past the facade.

But I want to say that sometimes those generalizations are, in my opinion and from my anecdotal experiences, unfounded. I have seen relationships within my family in which the man wasn't taken to the cleaners by the woman, in which she was willing to be rather rational and come to an agreement. I've had a girlfriend who truly believed the dating game was rigged, that didn't celebrate Valentine's Day, that never asked for gifts or expected anything crazy from me, that stuck by me when I was jobless. Eventually, I initiated the breakup due to reasons other than her, and I genuinely believe that she is a kindhearted, loyal, loving woman, but we weren't a fit long term. And she didn't get revenge or throw a tantrum. She just understood.

I'm talking about these experiences to illustrate a point. I don't feel it's productive or wise to label 100% of women as having specific characteristics. Not all women will cheat on you. Not all women will take everything in a divorce. Not all women are concerned with petty materialistic items. I truly believe this because I've seen it. And even though I think many more men are fucked over from a legal standpoint, that the game is rigged against men, that it's inherently risky to date women with a history of cheating, or drug use, or similarly sketchy behavior, I think there are women out there who feel like we do. There are women out there who are sick of fucking Chads, or have never touched a Chad and never will. I know women personally who are saving their virginity, not due to religion or dogma, or pressure or shame, but because they feel that fuckboys aren't worth their time.

Make no mistake, there are certain legal truths regarding marriage and paternity that are irrefutable. Many many women are looking to take advantage of many many men. Many men go along with this. And as of right now, I have no interest in dating and am fixated on my career and savings account. For all intents and purposes, I'm full Monk. But to have a mentality that women are after me, that every single woman out there only wants resources, that to treat women like a commodity is ok because they treat men like trash is the exact same victim mentality and justification that SJWs use against men. I am MGTOW for one simple reason - the risk is too high to be anything else. But I don't have to hate women, manipulate them, or treat them all as one entity to do that. I hope we can all take a step back and realize the world isn't so black and white.
