tldr; With convictions on these grounds, I can see why men are generally no longer in any fields dealing exclusively with children (teachers, etc). True or not, you are guilty until proven innocent and there is little way to prove your innocence from events decades back.

Idk if this guy is innocent or not, but I used to watch him back in the day. Americans won't know him, but Brits and Aussies will.

The thing that bothered me is how flimsy all the evidence was, as detailed here. And believe me, I looked and found nothing better or more in depth summarizing to or against him the evidence. That's basically it. Mostly a few people who came forward who had stories, but got details wrong like places and dates and things you'd expect them to remember. And yet when I looked up the story on reddit, everyone pretty much took it as gospel, even former fans.

When I look it up on wikipedia, this troubles me further:

The four counts of making indecent images were related to the Protection of Children Act 1978, which interprets viewing images on a computer as making images. The charges were brought after detectives examined Harris's computer and found 33 images of possibly underage models amongst thousands of adult pornographic images. Harris never entered a plea on the charges, as his lawyers argued successfully that the charges should be severed from the 12 sexual assault charges and tried separately. In the aftermath of Harris's conviction, it was reported that his legal team had obtained the identity documents of the models involved, confirming they were adults over 18.[103] The websites Harris had visited, according to the Internet Watch Foundation, are not known for illegal images of children. This does not seem to fit the profile of a paedophile. It all seems like he got crucified in public opinion for dating a much younger woman (he claims when she turned 18, went into her mid-20s until a bad breakup) and as revenge against entertainer/celebrity Jimmy Savile who died before justice could get him.

Again, I have no clue if the guy is guilty or not, but the evidence seems very poor. He has been stripped of his knighthood and many other honors accumulated in his lifetime since the conviction and more "victims" are stepping forward.
