What kind if traditionalism? Marriage in 1500s was better than 1950s. The extended family was better than the nuclear family. The worst of the worst was the 1950s when everyone had to prey in school, promise to die for the flag, no sex before marriage, no porn, big government regulations, unions, no international trade and closed borders to most of the world with the best women so you have no choice but to deal with feminists.

The breakdown happened when women were taught that they needed to be sexually, emotionally and socially pleased by their husbands or they should leave. I think you're definitely right about this. And the backlash to feminism is clearly pushing more men to traditionalism. Is there any way this can be stopped? Even my friends who have been rape-accused or divorce-raped still make women their number 1 life priority. Most people simply are incapable of resisting social conditioning.

There must be something more we can do than merely share information.

not that im promoting traditionalism but traditionalism worked in times past because it was a true patriarchy and men had all the power. that began to change by the middle of the 1800s and as such is long dead. neo traditionalism is what more women will gravitate to in the future. it's a sham and it allows them to retain all the rights feminism gave them but they'll expect men to take care of them. in other words - it gives women MORE rights than men and they'll expect men to go along with it. fuck that noise. it will not benefit men in the least. at least with most women being independent bitches (adhering to varying degrees of outright feminism) and thus doing any ole damn thing they want you know where they stand and where you stand ..... and that means you know not to marry,cohabit with,or breed with them. mgtow is the only sensible path for men to take nowadays.

This is the gold. I understand your POV. That said, the problem with much of the discourse around feminism vs traditionalism is that it relies on the assumption that most women are all one category or the other. I find in reality that it is not quite so dichotomous, or so "honest".

Most of us would probably be far better off with either pure category, but not with confusing mixes. We could be happy being Ward to a June Cleaver who happily takes care of the domestic affairs (gatherer, village keeper), while we only focus on providing security (hunter). Or we could be happy with an intellectually honest feminist with integrity who can be the major breadwinner and not complain about it, and who doesn't always expect a man to add like the super protector and white knight all the time. I know one very real feminist with integrity, who actually is the major breadwinner, stays true to her husband who helps out but doesn't provide the same long term security, and I respect the hell out of her. Who I don't really take seriously are the "feminists" who married a successful man with a "smart" secure job, who then spends all her spare time opining and protesting while living securely in a nice home provided for courtesy of her man-income.

The trouble for most MGTOW men (and maybe all society) is feminism and traditionalism are not evenly dichotomous divided. Instead, they sort of exist along a very messy and confusing spectrum. I could handle a LTR with one or the other, still holding that 1st and second wave feminism rights are valid, so long as the woman in the LTR gladly accepted her role, either feminist with equal hunting obligations, or traditional wife home maker who was gad to help there and not pine for more money and more frills.

Technology marches on, for better or worse.

Much more likely is robots and AI doing all the work, with the proles on the dole. Maybe not; maybe we won't have Universal Basic Income. If not, then there will be violence and revolution, as there will be no other way for the great unwashed to obtain, well, anything.

You make a pretty good point, I never thought of it that way. They both want to make things weighed in their own favour, just in different ways.

that said, I'm not for either. especially with how expensive things are now, a double income household seems necessary, unless the childcare costs outweigh that.

Why can't it just be somewhere in the middle? Feminine, pretty, fit women who cook, are loyal, good mothers, and have careers?
