1) While men are attracted to certain anatomical features, and have a high sex drive, women are attracted to status. How they perceive and judge status is very nuanced, but the point is that women can only ever be truly sexually attracted to the top 10-20% of men. And moreover, for a man to be "top" he usually has to be part of or even form an elitist group that excludes and puts others down. This is why women like bad boys - because bad boys are willing to disregard others' needs to achieve status. Women's twats get wet for status, so they favor these boys. This attraction to status is driven by the need for a woman's male offspring (even many generations down) to have status - so they will successfully reproduce.

Women have instincts to avoid pregnancy from non-top males, so women will feel the need to avoid sex even from men whom they trust and have emotional intimacy with, even men with whom they've experienced sexual pleasure in the past. Their sex drive shuts down if higher status is elsewhere. In the end, this means that most men will lose the dating game, necessarily. And more often than not, "bad" men will win, and the social environment will bend to promote elitism and so forth (champagne and Gucci handbags). Women will intrude upon social situations and try to push men to create hierarchies, so that they can determine who it is they're attracted to. They will literally warp otherwise cooperative male environments just to serve their vaginal needs.

2) Men fall in love with women, irrationally, because of mere sexual attention. Male infatuation with women is intense, idealistic, and completely undeserved by the women who receive this attention. If it weren't for the natural tendency of men to fall for women, none of the mating game would work. All of what women get away with is due to men having this intense inborn desire to take care of women who have shown them sexual attention. Women don't feel love in quite the same way (they obsess over the D, but a one night stand will cure that, they obsess over the need for attention, but all they want is attention not intimacy, they're desperate for male providers in their lives, but these are fundamentally interchangeable. They don't idealize their mates as eternal soul mates, or true loves forever).

Women find male love and infatuation to be either thrilling, or creepy, but they certainly find it to be alien. Women don't get infatuated over one person, in that same way. So women intuitively know that male infatuation and attention is a "weird man thing" to be managed and taken advantage of. They don't reciprocate the feeling, not ever. They manipulate it to their advantage - their universal intuition saying: "well if he insists on acting this way, who am I to stop him?" And they're right! The problem is women don't relate to this feeling, and even when they like a guy and are taking advantage of him, his infatuation makes her just a little uncomfortable, because she's standing by ready to jump on the next better dick that swings her way. Which seems only natural to her.

Additionally - A lot of this mismatch of sexual preference is behind this discussion we're having about "patriarchy". To a large degree, feminism is just the assertion of contemporary women to be able to openly express their sexual preferences without having to accommodate the male idea of love. Indeed, the male idea of love is sort of a monolithic imposition upon women. However, that's because female expectations are pathetic. They expect men to act, and refuse to act themselves - in pursuit of sex and romance - but they don't like the choices that men consistently make.

These divergent sexual preferences exist to generate an outcome that works for general human survival in a primitive environment. They're not meant to make sense or provide happiness. Marriage contained the problem, and was preferable to the alternatives through much of history. Now that we have abundant wealth and so forth, marriage is less preferable than other alternatives (especially for women who can ride the cock carousel now while their young).

There's no real answer here. Even if we can accept a world where most of us men mostly get under served (all men want a little something from almost all women, but all women only want anything from a select few men - a huge huge power imbalance), there's also the problem of getting what we want - sex - leads to our brain dumping chemicals that cause us to irrationally obsess over women who almost universally don't deserve our love and attention. At least, not at all near the degree that we give it.

So, it's a mess. But, at least we know how fucked things are, which is a good argument for going your own way. Avoiding women might leave a lonely feeling in your heart like a slow burning candle, it might cause sexual frustration (which has a few outlets). But loneliness has outlets in good friends. Hell! I have one or two female friends I keep at arms length (not party girls, one is a nerdy ass virgin) - because they are willing to be emotional tampons for me so long as I sometimes reciprocate (though they often ghost me for dumbass bizarre girl reasons - usually because they feel like our relationship needs to go somewhere, whether they want it to or not, but they are uncomfortable staying where we are). Anyway, life can be fun and fulfilling without a romantic partner.

Having a romantic partner or even seeking one opens up a can of worms inside yourself that can detract from you happiness and exaggerate loneliness.
