For the last few days I've been in monk mode. I needed to unplug from society and decompress. I've been going to the local park trails, the lake, went book browsing at the barnes & noble and made time for the gym. It's been peaceful, sitting back and going for walks and drinking coffee and listening to jazz, classical music and old school hip-hop.

Just yesterday I was at the lake and spent an hour watching the wind rippling the water, shimmering under the sunlight and just listened to music and sat back to enjoy the breeze. It gave me time to reflect and thought about my childhood to hiking and camping with my father and brothers eating chili dogs and telling ghost stories or fishing with my uncle. It's incredible the way monk mode and taking time from society surfaces old memories.

My tv watching time has decreased exponentially: tv is cucked beyond belief I can't enjoy it. I did go rewatch a movie in the theatre today while enjoying some popcorn, always a classic leisure. I've been putting national geographic and planet earth on the tv as background noise. I spend an hour in silence meditating as well.

I'm going to have to return back to "polite" society soon, just to keep my social skills and mind sharp. However, it's amazing just how beautiful life and nature is. MGTOW has truly made me appreciate what true beauty is.

Recently I've been reading the Meditations of Marcus Aurelius. What other books should I read that's stoic and in the same vein? Read The Stranger by Camus, any other ideas?
