Lately I am doing lot of functional programming and thought its a good idea to have a good look into Category theory so that I can write better code. I purchased the book Cakes, Custards and Category theory. Half of the book is about her dating experiences about men she met in parties and in parks. WTF!!!

I met a guy at a party recently who, after a little bit of conversation, said to me ‘Do you have brothers? I bet you have brothers.’ I said no, and asked him why he thought I must have brothers. He replied, ‘Because you’re not afraid of talking to tall, handsome men.’ Another guy at another party told me ‘You’re so self-sufficient, I bet you’re an only child.’ Also wrong, but it brought to mind one of my favourite scenes in Casino Royale, where James Bond and Vesper Lynd meet for the first time and verbally spar with one another on the train. Bond coolly declares she must be an orphan, and she, equally coolly, surmises that ‘Since your first thought ran to orphan, that’s what I’d say you are.’

I once went to a party and decided to try an experiment: I refused to tell anyone what my job was. Telling people you’re a mathematician produces all sorts of odd responses.
So I chuck it and started reading Category Theory for the Sciences by David Spivak and is available for free online(MIT presss, no less). I paid for the junk written by an woman while the best book is available for free online and is written by a man.
EDIT: Bonus - Feminist researcher invents ‘intersectional quantum physics’ to fight ‘oppression’ of Newton. Just to be sure if this isn't a hoax, I checked the university page of the said professor in the article. Sure enough, gentlemen, I present you Whitney Stark who published Assembled Bodies - Reconfiguring Quantum Identities. All these articles are archived lest they be lost.
