Not really sure what you are getting at. Men will say the same thing except they will say it over a case of beer. I know this is counter to the narrative du jour, but if you need emotional assistance, seek out your male friends not the female ones. Male friends (good ones at least) will tell it to you straight, give actionable advice (forget about her, hit the gym with my tomorrow), and generally try to take your mind off of it.
That being said, I had a lesbian friend who was a solid bro to me in times of trouble. AWALT is true in a general sense but not in a universal sense.
