I have very conservative views on most things, but climate is one of those where I'll have to agree with the science. The data shows the planet is changing due to high concentrations of CO2 and we're only starting to see the beginnings of those changes. Can anything be done about it? No, not at this point. We have billions of people who want to live like Americans, and they're burning carbon to do it. Nobody's gonna pick a poor life in order to bring down concentrations of carbon in the atmosphere. Cars, trucks, planes, and ships are too useful.

Will the planet be ok? Yes. It'll just be more enjoyable to live in Alaska in about 100 years. Mass migration will be a huge issue, and farming will have to evolve dramatically to maintain food supplies for 15 billion people.
